Forbidden Planet Southampton

Went hunting for some Dragonball Z memorabilia for a birthday present the ither day and Forbidden Planet had by far the best selection out of any if the similar stores in town. A wide variety of products for am equally wide variety of interests, and by far the highest quality out of anything else sold in town, so worth the slightly higher mark up if you're looking for genuine collectors items. It's as easy to find something for your mum as it is for your little brother, as there's quite a few hidden gems that you wouldn't necessarily expect to find. I for one always seem to leave with a new tarot deck, and will definitely be back to buy some of the themed cookbooks!

One of my favourite places in Southampton. Friendly staff, great range and usually a decent sale section. The lift is weird but honestly I can't usually access comic book shops much at all as a wheelchair user so won't complain!

I went once before the pandemic and again the other day. It has a lot to offer and a wide variety of nerdy things, but I felt like they had more stock the first time I went.

Still Check this place out if you haven't it's definitely worth it, they have a life size Xenomorph egg which is really cool!

There are two levels of memorabilia merchandise, so if you are looking for comic, science fiction items etc this your place. Staff were mainly helpful, but if selecting from downstairs you had t9 go back upstairs to pay!

Great little so, comics, books, posters and pop culture figurine's.
The shop has a basement accessable by stairs where the comics and books are with the collectable figures on the main ground level. Staff polite and friendly.

I love it in there. Seems to be the only shop in Hampshire that sells gunpla. I may have bought one of each and can't wait till they get more in!

Brilliant place, gaming, comics, books, the inner nerd 🤓 in you will not be disappointed. Found this place accidentally and going back with my daughter we love board games and the like. Keep it up. Love little treasure trove places like this.

If you require a pop vinyl figure or pretty much and super hero/ anime / movie / Pokémon memorabilia then this is 100% your best chance to get what your looking for in the area . I was very surprised to see that there is huge basement level that is bigger than the initial shop you walk in . Whenever I'm in Southampton I always make sure I pop in to see what's there.
