Excelsior Comics Ltd

There's two shops, one for board games, miniature war games and a few other bits and pieces, and one with the comic books. Both had friendly unintrusive staff that just let me browse in peace but were friendly enough when I had a question. Nice selection of stuff generally, lots of odd bits in the war games area, although a bit limited in Warhammer products, but they sell the stuff they have cheaper than the official shop nearby.

Stopped in whilst on a flying visit to Bristol. Good amount of stock, plenty of items to peruse. Owner was very friendly and took time to have a chat with us. Highly recommended, we'll be calling in again when in the area.

Had a great time in Excelsior with my wife. Very reasonably priced, had lots of graphic novels you won't easily find in the UK, plus some very tasty older comics in great condition. Really friendly staff and owner. Also had a discount for a bulk buy. Much appreciated, thanks guys!

There aren't a lot of comic shops in the uk and not many in Bristol I loved the selection off comics and graphic novels the owner was a nice guy even gave me a 10 percent student discount grate customer service I'm very indecisive when buying stuff so they let me browse in peace also prices aren't that bad and most places I have been just have marvel and dc even then that's bareboans so it was refreshing to see other comics that they sell from image comics so like invincible and the walking dead and I think they had some ninja turtle ones as well

Wonderful comic store definitely worth the visit. The owner and staff are friendly and the prices are very good unlike that Comic Guru in Cardiff and Sin City Comics in Newport.

Hands down one of the best comic shops I have been to and a 1000 times better than that awful shop in Cardiff called Comic Guru.

Brilliant store, has become my local. Good music for when you’re browsing and usually greeted by an employee. Marcus is brilliant, my girlfriend accompanied me once on my second visit, and she was so happy that he was so enthusiastic talking to a woman who wanted something for her daughter. He was extremely helpful towards her and you could tell she was so pleased.
Marcus also spoke to me for a while about the comics I was purchasing and offered to help me in future. I enjoy going in most when he is there as he will talk your ear off, and recommend you things he think you may like. Guy really knows his stuff, and it makes you feel welcome.
