A great little shop with helpful and polite staff.

My son had see some comic books that he was interested in online, rather than purchasing these items online I decided to use and support a local business. The staff at the Comix Shoppe were very accommodating and were able to order the items to be delivered to the shop each month.
If I am unable to collect my sons comics on time, the staff contact me to inform me they have been delivered and keep them until I am able to collect them.

The Comix Shoppe has a wide selection of comics that spans many genres and caters for all ages.

Been coming here for a few years now and its such a great shop. Dont be fooled by its size it has litterally everything i want everytime i come in, new stock is always in! Staff are lovely and always help me find things and look things up for me! I never feel stupid or unwelcome, one of my favourite places ♡

Where to start… The comic books are priced up with stickers on the front covers, so not great if you’re a collector.
The man in the shop was also quite standoffish when my friend and I politely asked if we could browse in the many boxes of comics that were around the shop, covered in other comics, books and figures. He point blank said no, with no explanation. We even offered to help carefully move some of the books from on top of the boxes, but all that seemed to do was make him even more grumpy. Seems a bit strange to have a comic shop and not want to facilitate customers spending money. My friend and I would have likely spent around £100 or more altogether, filling in gaps in our collections, but were so bewildered by the shopkeepers attitude that he lost our custom. What’s worse, we drove half and hour in busy traffic specifically to have a browse at the older comics.
I’ve worked in retail, but always for big chains and in those instances I can understand when staff don’t particularly care about customer service or sales, but this is a private run business. The shop was dead quiet, in fact we were the only people in there, so it’s not like we’d have been disturbing other customers. The only reason I can see for the refusal is laziness or apathy.
Wouldn’t recommend. Take your money to a store that is in it for the right reason. Somewhere that has a passion for comics and values its customers. Science Fiction Collectables in Bridgend, Retro Stash or the one upstairs in Jacob’s Antiques Cardiff.

Amazing range of graphic novels and comic books. Some cute character merch available as well. Pretty good for avid comic book fans and newbies alike!

Possibly the UK’s worst comic shop. Price stickers on covers (even comics from two years ago cover price) and just stacked on top of each other no order whatsoever bad

The best comic shop around. It's small but it has a great selection. I'm a relative newbie to comics and the shop owner is always happy to help me find something and throw in sample issues of things I might like. Honestly, can't wait to keep supporting this small local business.
