Fun, friendly place. Full of people willing to help anyone with any issues, social, gardening and craft events or just drop in for some company

The Dusty Forge a once troubled infamous pub in Ely renowned for, disturbances, fighting, drugs and general trouble. It's a shame as it was a super pub in the past just like the local you'd like to frequent. It had good beers and a great atmosphere. But Times changed, it was closed because of all the troubles. A Phoenix rose from the ashes into ACE Action Caerau Ely. They offer independent advice on most issues regarding benefits, grants, life styles, training, work placements, CV's, use of wi-fi tea coffee and just a safe place to be. Just pop in or if you can look at their web site.
There's the Dusty Shed, aimed at people with skills to make things all overseen by skilled staff. It's too long to go into detail just call in. They also run the Dusty Pantry, which when you join for just £5 per week you can access fresh food to add to your larder I can recommend this as you receive food to the value of around £20 it all depends on the day as it's all donated by well known and local suppliers. There's also a range of freebies donated from various parties ie Greggs so there's a great choice. It's all very informal with very helpful staff oh there's also a free cuppa and biscuits lol. There is also the Peoples Pet Pantry where you can buy your pet food and supplied. Pet Pantry open Tuesday 4.30 to 6.30 Friday 10 till 12 there can be other times just call in and have a look around, there's a charity shop who are always looking for donations, they also have many plans for the future so it's worth checking out thoroughly recommend it's worth it's five stars 😀👍👍👍👍👍 ps your children will enjoy the mini pantry 🧒👧 ps there's also the community garden with plans to expand what they do. The centre is undergoing major changes to improve what they do and the environment they do it in so pop in when you can as you will be made most welcome 😀

I went to the Dusty Forge for help with filling in a form. A lady called Nerys was extremely helpful and took the time to sort things out for me. The other staff/ volunteers I encountered were lovely, so friendly and welcoming. All this has meant a great deal to me and I would like to thank everyone. This place is a wonderful asset to the area.
