Performed a guitar concert for the North Wales Guitar Circle here and the acoustics were fantastic. If there is a concert there, I recommend attending (if you like music!) because there is a permanent exposition on the history of the Menai Bridge and on Thomas Telford. So if you're a history buff, you'll enjoy stopping by.....not sure of the visiting hours but you can find the web site easily. But if there is a concert while you are visiting you can catch the show AND see the exhibition.

Brilliant exhibition about both bridges over the Menai Strait. Other exhibits uncle the famous HMS Conway training ship and a WW1 exhibit. Lots to see. Open Wednesdays and Thursdays.

A well thought out centre for learning. I like the evening lectures on a variety of subjects that are always well presented by expert speakers. A very welcoming and knowledgeable staff in the day for info on the Bridge and locality.

The Centre had many highly informative boards covering the histories of the Davies family, Menai Bridge, Britannia Bridge and a little bit about the impacts of the First World War in the local area. The volunteers at the centre were really fun to talk to and had an amazing knowledge of history related to the exhibits. The Centre is also child friendly as there are a number of activities they can do including a hunt for a Welsh dragon to win a prize; a quiz about the information on show and some blocks with which they can construct their own bridges. Over all, I would highly recommend the Canolfan Thomas Telford Centre especially for anyone interested in engineering and the history of engineering.
