I'd give it 5 stars if only I didn't get lost every time! Not crowded, easy to find seating, nice selection of hot and cold foods. Lovely vibe.

I used to have lunch in the garden when I worked in Old Street, and always make sure to make for a visit when in the area. Last night I saw "Everything, Everywhere, All At Once" there and couldn't help thinking the last time I was there was for Jeff Mills!!
From movies to art, to concerts and more, make the time for a chill by the canal or by the garden, or have lunch at Cote or bring your own at one of the tables, but get to Barbican this summer 🥰❤
You won't be disappointed!!

Interesting brutalist architecture, waterways and planting behind the Barbican. Overall an oasis of calm.

One of the best places in London. It is so beautiful: the architecture, water sounds and greenery all contribute to the You feel isolated inside a small ecosystem and forget the hustle and bustle of the outside crazy world.

Had a great time here just sat by the lake watching all the fish and busy coots

A lovely tranquil public space at the city of London. Even without visiting the Barbican centre itself, it is a great place to meet by the water and enjoy the atmosphere.

Barbican Centre visitors must visit this man made lake with cascade, terrace, cafe to say hello to resident waterfowl.
It's an urban oasis with plenty of outdoor seating and strolling surrounded by famous Brutalist arts complex with all cultural events of top quality.
You need flesh air on arrival in The City, or after heady input. (Only Barbican human residents can use private garden though)
