Holme Hall Unite's Community Garden

I don’t get the criticism, so it’s not RHS but I like it. The garden is enjoyable, tidy and accessible. When I walk down to the shop, it is genuinely nice to see what’s new. If it gets people to give time in making where they live better then good effort.

Take pride in your community and bring this garden back to life ...so says Mr Hedley.
Maybe instead of overseeing 2 other gardens in Chesterfield he should actually do some work on this garden! After all it is a condition of Chesterfield Borough Council that whoever owns it should maintain it. Seen as it hasn't been maintained since 2019 CBC should take the land back. Its a total discrace!
Excuse after excuse.
An hour tidying the garden planned ! An hour ? It will take several WEEKS to bring that mess back to any standard.
What no tour of HHU community garden by Britain in Bloom judges this year ? I Wonder why it wasn't on the route

Looking a bit shabby and in need of some tlc. Looked lovely in previous summer months and people enjoyed using the tables for lunch etc. Hopefully it will be back to its former glory once winter has passed.

Run down and neglected as no one wants to volunteer for the so called chairman, a person not ti be trusted.....
