Bagthorpe Gardens

Bagthorpe Gardens is a lovely set of allotments nestled into the western side of Sherwood. Their only public open day is the annual Heritage Open Day period in early September; be sure to take advantage then. Unfortunately the allotments are all taken up and there is a waiting list of some years; but it's still worth getting involved as they are a fun and friendly group of people, the environment is delightful, and there is a heritage angle to the site as it dates back to Victorian times.
