My son started at Furzefield in September. He absolutely loves school and is making excellent progress. The school and teachers are fantastic - highly recommended.

I was enrolled in this school from reception to yr6 and left fairly recently (under 3yrs ago) and it was good but when things like the Christmas raffle happen, from a pupil experience, it is horrible and it is super cramped unless you are in nursery or yr6 unable to move for around an hour, and it's only a good experience if you win something, and that is 1in around 600 plus you might get something you hate, and there is an assembly everyday especially for key stage 2, sitting in a hall where food is eaten and PE is played, moving on, in reception you are settled in really well and if you try to run away as a child your great escape will end in a jiffy, anyway it is fun and you learn numbers and phonics and have lots of breaktimes, but a HUGE highlight is a teacher called miss Roberts for does forest school, as there is a little woodland area in the grounds, where you can have special drinks and marshmallows on sticks over a campfire with all your freinds, and this carries all the way from nursery to yr6 and the yr6 pupils sometimes get offered to help out with the younger.ones and when in yr3 you get to go through furzefield woods at the top of delabole road, in year one you get 1or 2 extra breaktimes than the older children but it's fine. In year 3 you have learnt math and are starting to do easier ways of learning, and in yr4 your year becomes king of the playground until next year, when you get moved to the second playground, but in year 6 comes the hard work, and you are worked your butt off to prepare for SATS and it's made a big deal, but as soon as the SATS are over, you just get days of where you just watch movies all day and laze about, which no one had a problem with, exept you were anything BUT prepared for secondary school, and for many pupils, it was a hard transfer, there are fire drills added notes are that the canteen is the PE hall and the assembly hall and the raffle hall and alot of other things to, plus one of the worst things was that your classroom was your changing room break times are 15mins and lunch the is an hour, plus when it is summer, the field is your playground and when it is raining, even just a.few.spots, they will keep you in, and it feels horrible
