In general I have very good experience at Ambala sweets except Turnpike Lane store. Their staff is really unprofessional and the sweets box they prepare doesn't reflect the standard other Ambala shops have. I prefer Walthamstow & White Chapel. I dont recommend the Turnpike Lane store at all. Recently went there and again the staff wasn't helpful. I am paying full price so atleast give your customer a good selection of sweets not fill it up with basic ones and leave good mithai out. Really bad!

I'm a fairly regular customer since the sweets they make are out of this world (I go for the assorted barfi/pak selections) but nothing prepared me for the massive queues outside on the two days leading up to Diwali this year! This time I tried the samosas too but was a bit disappointed as although they were big, they had little flavour & seemed stuffed with just turmeric-tinged mashed potato. I won't buy these again but the sweets were excellent, as usual.

Was lucky it was open on Diwali (Sat 14th Nov), had to queue outside for about 30mins due to regulations, went fairly quick once inside although felt rushed as there were a lot of ppl waiting but that's Iike any place I suppose. Good selection of sweets, although I didn't like the jalebies, too thick and tasted off. Veg samosas were nice and crunchy but the filling is mostly potatoes. Felt like having spend almost £50 they could have thrown in one or two extra sweets as good will gesture and out of kindness for loyal customers on Diwali like other places do. Customer service needs to improved.

Fantastic service from Ambala Turnpike Lane. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and created a fabulous gift box for a special occasion. I will definitely use Ambala again and it was a five star customer experience all round. Thank you.

It's just okay. Brought Jalabees. It was not nice. Other sweets are okay. Love the samosas.
Never ever going to buy jalabees again. It tasted raw. 🤭

This place has gone downhill. The dokra is made only on Saturdays, so when I got old dry doors and pakora today, what dies that mean? Genius, it means it's one week old. When I asked, they said it was fresh. Guess old means if it's over a year old.
It used to be really good under the previous management. Honest fresh food and service with a smile.

Ordered half a kilo of pakora. The worker asked me if I'd like them warned up. This seemed odd. They never offer to warm them up usually. Took them home and the pakora was soggy and dry. Not the usual crunch and freshness. Took them back the next day and the same worker mentioned that they were the previous days pakora. Shocking from such an established company like Ambala that they try to sell old, previous day's food! No apology from the worker. Terrible customer service. Please remember to ask the worker if the pakora and samosa were fryed on the day of purchase.
