Always friendly staff. If it weren't for the prices I would get things other than the essentials from here, what with living close. Can sometimes have long queues depending on the time.

Love the monks road co-op. The staff are so friendly and kind. The majority of them genuinely care about people and help you out above and beyond the call of duty. They should be on more than minimum wage. I hope they are.

Just wanted to say there was a woman working here the other day that was really helpful and lovely, didn't catch her name but she had glasses and made my friend's day thank you 🙏

Shop was well laid out. First time ever been in this shop,so of course couldn't find anything, a shop assistant took me to two different places cos I really couldn't find these two items, despite one been about 4 foot from where I was standing. Would use again

Just had a poor customer service experience at monks road CO OP. The lad who served me didnt communicate very well and just processed the transaction how he wanted I left feeling disappointed and made to feel like it was my issue because of his lack of communication. Basically gave him some shopping to pay for then asked him to check lotto tickets 1 was a winner I wanted the cash and wanted to use dividend card to pay for the shopping. He just used to winnings for it instead and gave me change which I told him I didnt want to use the winnings to pay for the shopping he just shrugged and didnt offer to rectify this, he also lost my lotto ticket which I wanted to keep out of interest to see what the numbers were now I'll never know as he couldn't find it. He didnt scan my dividend either for the points on the shopping which I save up all year round so those points are lost, I asked for receipt so I could get points but he couldn't find receipt on till either so I walked out. I also wanted a scratch card but felt rushed because of his mistakes and because I expressed my annoyance he gave me attitude to the request that I hadn't finished . Went in there in a good mood came out fuming. I often find if you give them at the till more than 1 task at a time they struggle and make mistakes and it makes me feel I'm being a tricky customer

Since the pandemic started there a significantly fewer fresh bread options and the pastries are always stale. If you want a crusty roll or croissant, Tesco's is the better bet.

Could do with better plant based options for Meal Deals
