Where else would the post lady correct a postcode for you and rewrite it on the letter ! And it's not the first time the staff have been really friendly and helpful. Great post office and shop.

Can’t praise this shop enough so I won’t. Really friendly, warm , caring and visually pleasing staff. Good selection of your basics but as I have speciality tastes I find this rather limited.

Would it be too much to ask for a good selection of solvents and gases (suitable for inhaling) ? SPAR in Silverton have the same problem so I assume Its a SPAR policy. Should I raise this issue with the head of SPAR for Central Devon or who ?

I thought the days of minimum spend for the convenience of using a debit card were long gone, especially after the covid lockdown and the government driven incentive to use less cash. This shop still has a £5 minimum spend. I chose items valued £4, and was told I would need to buy more items to exceed £5 if paying by card. I chose not to buy anything. I wonder if some store owners are still advocating the notion of minimum spend as it must prove to be most profitable. For me it just feels like an attempted rip-off. Maybe the £5 minimum is common knowledge locally and prevents the store from being patronised as much as it could be. The minimum charge maybe the reason you have to keep the minimum charge because you're keeping customers away because of the minimum £5 charge?! Just a thought.

An absolutely brilliant SPAR! So well stocked - I am yet to not find what I want - horseradish sauce, baking soda, cranberry jelly, jam tarts, rum, iced buns... the lot.
