Small store that's good for essentials and there's the added bonus of a subway inside

Well managed SPAR with friendly staff. Convenient for all of the essentials albeit with some restriction of choice. Bit on the pricey side but there are regular special offers both as you enter and on aisle ends.

Inside there is a Subway which is generally very good and again with friendly staff - can get busy at times so prepare to queue if so. Outside there is a free to use cash machine and some bike stands.

Be careful when entering or exiting the car park, while most use the left for entering and the right for exiting it's not always the case. They really should designate them as in/out with clear signage.

Very rude staff. Ordered food from subway and staff didn't listen to what i wanted. Stephen put the order through wrong and wouldn't change it. I requested a bottle of water and she said she can't give me one from the fridge it had to be from the dispenser because it would apparently affect there stock. She looked like she wasn't fit for working and was under the influence. Definitely wont be returning.
Being heavily pregnant with twins i also asked to use their toilet as I've used it many times before and the shelve stocker with wirey black hair refused to let me go so i decided to wee on their car park as i was very desperate and being in Burnley seemed an ok place to do it.

As me and my brothers walked into SPAR the cashier looked at us non-stop. We walked over to the christmas section to buy something while one of my brothers went to go grab a drink. We walked over to the till to purchase the drink and the cashiers kept asking us weird things and it felt like we had done something wrong. Then, once we left the SPAR , after buying the drink, the store manager chased after us and asked us if we had shoplifted. We let him check my bag and nothing from that SPAR was in there. He basically threatened us to go to jail for no reason. I find this service absolutely disgusting.

This is my local i love this small store from dog food to ice cream very kind staff i recommend this store.

Always very pleasant staff and calm under pandemic working conditions and they always try to be very helpful.
