Co-op Food - Silverdale

Excellent local shop. The starf are friendly and helpful. Superb amount of stock for a store of its size. As you would expect, the regular users are on first name turms with the starf, that adds to the community feel, common to coop stores.

I went into co-op this morning to get a meal deal. I was using the self service checkout and unfortunately my card declined - my fault entirely. So I ask one of the employees to reset the checkout machine so the next person could use it and she kept on saying loudly my card declined! I then went to put back the meal deal and as I did that and walked out of the shop, I heard her start to tell other customers that my card declined!!! First of all, who’s going to care, secondly how bleedin rude do you have to be to start telling people that someone’s card declined - she did it rather loudly as well. Appalling.

Most of the staff are absolutely lovely, except for a couple who are vile. I was queuing up to pay, and a member of staff was talking to the lady at the till. I honestly thought she was working, so I approached the till to pay, and it wasn’t until I was walking out the door that she started mouthing off, saying how I’d pushed in front of her.
I also work in retail, and let me tell you, even if my shift had ended and I spoke to a customer that way, I would be hearing it from the managers.

A few things couldn't find, maybe delisted or just out of stock.

It's all about convenience, and are open so many hours. Really good staff

Mainly fo here for the GRO vegan cookies in the green packets :) really pricey shop not great selection for vegan in my opinion. Never seem to have the veg I actually need/want

Always receive an excellent service and Kelly, who is there on a Sunday goes out of her way to help in any way needed...couldn't ask for more! Thank you!

A very cosy place because it's tiny it can get closterphobic when busy other than that this is a decent coop in the chain great stuff
