Co-op Food - St. Albans - London Road

Nice store, but In store bakery very disappointing, looked under cooked and very anemic. Also no coop mince pies.

Nice clean little shop, good selection

Having attended the co op with my service dog, which I do frequently, I was yelled at from behind the counter- NO PETS. I explained that my little dog (who was in my arms out of consideration of other customers) was in fact a service dog and that I had shown her service card and certificate before and had it on me. The employee then proceeded to approach me and told me to put her on the floor then. I asked why and was given a filthy look and told - we’ll she can’t be a service dog if you’re carrying her!!! I was shocked and told her she needs more training and should not be so unprofessional and showed the dogs service certificate. I was then laughed at by her and one of the other employees. When asked to speak to the manager they both laughed even more stating that they - deana and Georgia-were in fact joint managers. Making me feel there was nothing I could do or say to defend myself against being treated this way.
I felt disgusted and discriminated against. This is my local food shop and I feel unable to use this store again.

I love the co op, food is great. Offer a delivery service. Though if there is something wrong with your order they don't answer the phone linked to google, quite frustrating.

Different prices on products each week. more expensive than other supermarkets. Never anybody serving on the tills.

Though small but have everything you might need milk, bread, and routine stuff 👍

Everything just where you need it and good range of products.
