Surbiton Groceries

I've been going to Surbiton Groceries 3-4 times a week for the last couple of years and everyone that works there is very friendly and pleased to help.

Really useful local shop, Hermes drop is easy and staff were really lovely

Went in to do an Evri parcel drop off (they’re a ‘print in store’ drop off point - man behind counter was really unhelpful and I didn’t get to post it in the end . Why agree to do evri when you clearly can’t be bothered to help the customer ? Bad customer service

Always very helpful staff. 3 of them been amazing whenever I pop in with my parcels. Very nice chatty, friendly people and very helpful.

Waited while daughter went in to return a parcel via Evri..and waited and waited , then parked and went in , only to find her at the front of queue with a middle aged man ignoring her and going over her head to take parcels from other customers ?? I asked what was going on and he ignored me too , then when he continued to serve customers behind , I raised my voice asking why he did that , he unashamedly asked me to leave the shop to which I replied I shall not leave until my daughter is served . He started moving and doing things by slow motion and pretending to potter around so as not to serve her and Bless her , she has not said a word ,before he eventually served her. Young and innocent before a bully who found a chance to demonstrate power , Shameful behaviour.

Same thing happened to me as per previous reviews - I went to pick up an Evri parcel before going to work so I had 10 mins to spare at the shop. The man behind the counter was beyond rude - I was the first one in the queue and every time a new customer came, he would completely ignore me and take his sweet time to serve them. At some point I realised I really had to go as I had a train to catch; I said this and the reply I got was that he had a business to run and dealing with my Evri parcel wasn’t worth it compared to the money he would get from the people queuing. As far as I’m aware, Evri pays for this too and people won’t go away if they have to queue for 2 minutes - that’s what queues are for. He then asked me to leave and come back later because he couldn’t deal with my request now as not only he had “more important customers” (who had arrived after me !!) but also because it’d take him too long to find my parcel. He was 0 understanding of the fact that my life doesn’t revolve around the opening hours of this shop and that I didn’t know whether I’d be able to come back later that day. As a top tip for this person - work on your customer service skills, speak in a nicer tone to people and if you have too many parcels and it will take you a long time to find one, perhaps figure out a better system rather than just dropping 810282 parcels on the floor.

Friendly and welcoming guy that served, we had a conversation about the continuous new releases of Monster Energy drinks. They take contactless and believe they don't have a minimum requirement for spending either.

Customer service very poor . Rude and arrogant old man behind counter . Not helpful at all very disrespectful to women .
