Fine for convenience shopping, but with Asda having their new store so close and open later, it has become a better option. There's a member of staff in this store who needs to improving their customer service skills...

This was our local convenience store until ASDA opened nearby. It is still handy for some items, is open longer hours on Sunday than supermarkets and is also our local Post Office. It can be busy in bursts at certain times.

I’m not sure they deserve a star for their customer service, I’m actually going to write to their complaints department suggesting they give ALL their staff a mandatory Equality and Diversity training because apart from one of their staff the rest of them seem like they don’t like ethnic minorities ( myself and family members have experienced bad customer service) They do seem to be friendly and engaged with anyone who isn’t black and once it’s my turn they are frowny, unpleasant and anxious to serve me quickly and get onto the next customer without even greeting me and that’s always the case regardless of me being pleasant and greeting them. That’s not a good feeling for any customer to feel and in this day and age one would expect that all human beings are treated in one category as customers rather than based on how they look. My teenage son doesn’t like going in there and I sympathise for him because he shdnt have to feel this way. Unfortunately it’s our local store and we have to frequent in there.

There are 2 tills at the same counter. One for shop purchases, the other for shop and post office services.
I did my shopping then used P.O services, but the cashier would not let me pay for my shopping (3 items) at the same till. she made me join a long queue. Actually it wasn't that long, it just took 20 minutes for 2 casiers to serve 4, 5 people. Then to add insult to injury, just as I got to the front, the above mentioned cashier served another customer who walked straight up to the counter ahead of me.
Seriously unimpressed.

I’ve never come across such rude and unhelpful staff here. I live just around the corner and it would be so handy for me to shop more there but I’m so put off by their incompetence and bad attitudes. I try and avoid at all costs unless essential!

This place in terms of customer service used to be consistently good. However, over the last 12 months it seems to be getting worse and worse, so much so that I've started using Hawkslade store more often where possible because the staff there seem to value their customers and present themselves accordingly.

The female staff are generally decent most of the time but a few of the male staff seem grumpy and like they don't want to be there. If you hate the job so much why not leave and give someone a chance to work who does?

The staff are generally un friendly, and the store often seems to run out of stock with popular items. Price of some soft drinks are also on the pricey side.

Got served by a gentleman called Thomas, he informed me he noticed that I wore 2 hearing aids and that he had removed his mask so I could hear him better. I thought that was so considerate of him and this made my day. Thank you Thomas...
