SPAR Holmewood

Very quick and easy place to visit for groceries and fuel. Lots of selection and surprisingly good deals. I a tally find that this place is cheaper than Co-op. One of the only downsides which is quite a large one, is that the staff can sometimes be very rude. Also on several occasions I have been overcharged or short changed, I now require a receipt everyone buy something. Overall, good place to visit but always double check what they charge you and the change they give you back.

Decent fuel prices, well serviced & often filled up, rarely having to wait for pumps as there are many available and service is quick. Shop is well stocked & tidy, bargain bakery has some lovely food for cheap prices.

So upon my visit to your store the Lady in front of me was id’d for tobacco when she then said I’m 28 and don’t have any I’d on me she was served the tobacco
I then asked for a scratch card was Id’d and refused sale as I didn’t have my Id which I don’t mind as that’s the law
But why was the lady in front challenged and asked for Id an then still served when she didn’t produce any id ?

Rude disinterested staff, expensive, poor service, particularly at busy times. Reluctant to use till where hot food is prepared, despite the queue being unreasonably long. No obvious reason why they can't use this. I've heard customer's complain whilst in the queue and they've started using it! Why not just use anyway during busy periods. Co-op down the road is much better, just as expensive but hassle free.

Texaco fuel station with a Spar convenience store, there is also a bargain bites food outlet inside the Spar shop that sells bargain priced hot and cold food - cheese burgers, bacon and sausage cobs, cold baguettes with various fillings, jacket potatoes, etc for just over £1. Costa coffee machine. The Texaco forecourt also offers parking for the Spar shop, air for tyres, water and vacuum cleaner.

Great place, wide selection and varieties of different food and drinks. Great prices, would definitely recommend.
