The Co-operative Food

Regular customer for both fuel & food at this store as i live nearby however, i was running past at the weekend and i'd run out of tap water for my water bottle and it was very hot. With no cash on me i politely asked one of the staff who was stacking shelves if they had a tap in a toilet that i could fill my bottle up. The response was that there was a water & air pressure machine on the petrol forecourt that took 50p pieces! Asked again if they could simply fill my bottle with tap water - and the answer was no. Customer service at it's greatest! and they weren't even busy. Well Co-Op, it's a good job i wasn't a pregnant Mum to be or someone that was feeling ill that needed the assistance of your staff. That is the very last time i'll spend money at Co-Op.

Usual sort of place but part of a fuel station so that effects speed of vehicles leaving the pumps as they are food shopping :(

9.15am 18th July, like a previous reviewer, maybe the same elderly lady server, seemed more interested in chatting to her slow customer nursing friend about how they should really be working at home in the heat etc etc etc, while the queue just grew longer and longer ........... to maybe 20, but she did summons an efficient assistant, maybe the manager, but she still asked me to wait as the next impatient customer, goodness knows what for ? Didnt like my comment about excessive talking and refused to serve me, so used the called assistant who was very good, otherwise I would have walked out and gone elsewhere.

Bought petrol and paper there the day before and both male servers were very efficient, which is why I returned, big mistake, over 10 minutes just to pay for a paper !!

Makes me remember why I avoid Coops if an alternative.

Very good shop, cheap petrol and diesel, from what I've seen and experienced helpful staff, (speaking on behalf of the other person's review it does need more signage of where to wait to fill up) and opening and closing time as one says 11 pm and the other says 10pm , apart from that brilliant staff, it would also benefit from pay at pump service

One lady who works there leaves a lot to be desired customer service wise. Always rude, never says hello/good morning, and quite frankly horrible to be served by. Begrudge having to get petrol when I see she is working.

I have been coming here for years. Please place a large sign to show where to queue correctly. Some of the staff are not polite, when serving at the till. Some long- standing staff are very pleasant though.

Always happy to help , never experienced any unfriendliness.

I liked it, usually shelves are well stocked, store could do with being a bit larger but for the size they have a healthy selection and variety of most food products
