I couldn’t have gotten through lockdown without this particular shop. Wether it’s for a bag full of fresh groceries or just one or two items. The delivery drivers are all friendly and lovely. Thank you all for keeping me going, thank you all for working so hard for the community.

Most the time you go in this place you have to ring a bell on the counter in order to get service which I find appalling customer service to begin with. If there are customers in the shop, somebody should be behind the till waiting but a lot of the co op’s operate in this way so it’s a flaw in their operations and staff can only do what they are instructed to and I understand they have to do stock etc but today I store there for the best part of 5 minutes, I had pressed the bell 3 times and then waited a little longer and the customer behind me said I think you need to press it again. I explained I had 3 times and I wasn’t going to again so I left my shopping and went elsewhere.

I’ve had enough of this shop, always having to wait for service and made to feel like you’re inconveniencing them when they have to come and serve you. If they carry on they won’t have jobs as everything is being pushed towards the self check outs and they are facilitating their own demise.

Sort it out as you are losing customers

My husband went there to buy some groceries and a bottle of gin. He had just picked our 17 year old daughter up from the gym and she was with him in the shop. He was refused service because the cashier said he could be buying the gin for his daughter!! He assured her that he wasn’t and asked her why she believed this. She said it was because she was a teenager and was with him. Ultimately she wouldn’t allow him to buy the alcohol. He’s 43!! It makes no sense on any level and was embarrassing for both of them. We’re not in the habit of buying bottles of gin for our children. If our daughter had looked younger (or older) I’m assuming it wouldn’t have been an issue. Very strange policy, and obviously we won’t be going there again.

Small but beautifully stocked. Items are always fresh and if near sell by date are reduced. Items constantly checked so even these still ok for a few more days.Staff are helpful polite and friendly. It is my go to shop for most things these days

Narrow aisles. Not too busy. Like honey and apple and elderflower squash but don't stock all range of own brand squash.
