We walked our dog in the village and found this gem of a shop! Homemade local cakes, really friendly staff and we bought the most amazing venison mince. It was like being on a movie set. Highly recommend.

At Hambleden’s center is Hambleden Village Stores. A shop that can only be described as a collaborative effort between the itself and surrounding local area denizens of produce, baked goods, meat/game, cheese, wine and the rest!

Upon entering, one can not help but feel the reminiscence of an old time shop where you were immeasurably welcomed instantly upon arrival and just felt at home. When leaving on the other hand, if you aren’t laden down with many of the delicacies South East England has to offer, something is remiss!

6 stars... out of 5!

Walk along the north bank of the Thames from Henley to Hambleden and then back along the south bank. Hambleden is a lovely quaint village with a village store, church and pub.

Great place to stop for tea or coffee, pots of tea not just cups, excellent value. If weather is nice can sit outside. Only downside is very limited space inside.

Almost cycled past Hambleden Village because the signage was blocked by foliage. Came across this gem of a shop which is a good reason for stopping. Had a freshly baked cake and coke, but it sells savories and hot drinks, if required. Seating outside useful when contemplating the return journey, or another slice of chocolate cake.
