SPAR St Albans

The fresh food here always seems like it's been sat there for a few months. The frozen section is also very small. They do have a large selection of non food stuff tho and tins. It's reasonably priced. Carparking is good but it can get busy.

An absolute couldn't careless attitude in this shop always. This morning there was a queue of 20+ Customers, half wearing masks, half not, NO social distancing & Only one Person on the tills as usual.
The rest of the staff are out the back drinking coffee & only come out to assist when someone complains.....like me !!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have just had the most appalling customer service where the guy was rude and interrupting me consistently.

Went in to use the CollectPlus service and pick up a few other bits. Went up and started giving them the barcodes for the return labels, they printed one and put it on the bag. Came to the second one and there was some confusion over what the appropriate barcode number was. The guy storms over and takes over from the lady that was helping me and then LIES and tries to insist that they don’t do CollectPlus in the store (even though they had just done my other parcel?!?) and then starts telling me I need to leave and go elsewhere. I realise I was taking a bit of time trying to find the code but I hadn’t once been rude to the guy or anyone else for that matter and to be treated and spoken to in this way was completely unacceptable.

I will never be returning. They are clearly liars with zero customer service.

Totally lax attitude to labelling. Prices at the till are a complete gamble - total is always higher than what you see on the shelves.

Fruit is often mouldy and still being sold. Never more than one person on the till no matter how busy the shop is.

Have complained before, manager doesn't care. Wish this place would close and get replaced by something else.

Don’t ever use there parcel collection service. I have had problems in the past and last week they refused to accept a parcel which was sent back to parcel returns and they have lost it. £60 down but nobody cares

Been in twice both times items come up more than listed. Not offered a receipt so suspect they know what they are doing. Well done, keep the pound your system going though at £2.89, compared to £1.89 displayef made you. Youve lost a customer.

Shocking prices and if something does look like a bargain, you wait until you see what you're charged for it. There's often a disconnect. Parking in the disabled spaces or loading bay for the flats is popular, as anyone stupid enough to spend money here clearly doesn't care about anyone else. Always playing really terrible music too. Worst shop for miles. Awful.

Just visited your store , 5 people stacking the shelves with no freindly smile and one on the till ! The female who served me was so rude , no please or thank you , customer service skills non existent ! Im here on a family visit and will certainly not be visiting you shop again ! Most ignorant staff ive ever come across .
