Good convenience store with post office counter. Friendly and efficient staff. Reasonable prices and good range of products. Long opening hours.

Purchased 4 pints of milk, a cheese string and a can of Coke. Was informed that would be £3.30 (which is bad enough) however, when I checked later £6 had been debited from my account!

I was in here yesterday.
No air con at all staff were so hot was ridiculous.🥵
Food melting on the shelf literally😡
No ice lolly fridge since last summer when it broke.😱!!
No ice!!
Fridges were warm!!
Limited choices these days.
Staff always friendly but I felt sorry for them in this heat . They should not be working in these conditions at all. Other customers were also complaining at the time.
Been popping in here over last 4 years as my local convenience store. Going downhill you really need to up your game. 😤

Utter joke. 8.30pm on a Tuesday doors locked but open til 10pm. No sign on door, no answer of the phone.

The new staff are great. Friendly and efficient. So I have updated from 3 to 5 stars.

It’s so easy to see why they are going under absolutely useless staff! Why are two members of staff working on the post office and NONE on the newsagents!!! Where does the staff’s wages come from! It’s not from someone sending a letter! it’s people spending their hard earned MONEY. Useless.

Edit: revised to one star I went in today and found the post office closed again for the fourth time in a row. Apparently a decision of the manager, but without the courtesy to decide on or display any opening hours, still to be confirmed at some time, with a vague hope it will be open at some point in the afternoon. This is 9.00am on a Monday, surely peak time for services to be open?

I would like to give a higher review as I want to shop locally for convenience, but over recent weeks and months the post office has become very unreliable (not open on my last three visits, despite the supposed opening hours being the same as the shop) and the service generally is hit and miss.

Had to wait for the lady at the counter to get off the phone before she would serve me yesterday. When I explained I was in a hurry and had my mum waiting in the car outside, she told me I was being rude !! Appalling service. Won't be going back there any time soon ! Service without a hint of a smile .... ☹️
