Co-op Food - Yeovil - 176 St. Michaels Avenue

Very nice shop. Good range of products with some decent offers and competitive pricing on some regular items. Ethical sourcing too. Short life products can be heavily discounted. Most items more expensive. Have been overcharged twice I think and had to get back into queue to get sorted, I've shopped there about 50 times now. The very occasional overcharging is why I've gone for 4 out of 5 rather than 5 generally very happy with the store.

Just a little warning for all the shoppers, make sure you always request your receipt. Wonder why they never give it to you when it's your right to have it? Or just ask if you want it on occasions? Because you simply overpay half the time.

I had to get back dozen of times because they've missed orange sale sticker, or my meal deal was still calculated for full price, or they actually didn't scan a part of the deal making a single item free, but the total much more than it meant to be.

I don't know if management doesn't give a single sh*t to train their staff or the staff is told to overcharge customers, but it happens so often I simply consider them and the whole company as thieves.

However, I have to admit they have nice freshly baked products.

The staff are always welcoming and friendly. This is currently my local store and I've never had a bad experience with anything there. 😊

Really helpful staff and both security guards whom always wave and spk tk my little girl, although a bit more pricey than larger stores as most small shop can be it has some great bargins and a good selection of fresh fruit veg and bakery items to name a few, always a very qk moving queue if there is one at all, plenty of parking with an atm outside for convenience!
