For a town so far away from the main routes, this place is quite busy. The staff seem to know all the regular shoppers and are unusually friendly. They don't all speak Welsh though.

I used to go here for beer and wine as it was refrigerated, but it's not any more. Can be more convenient than the local Tesco as it's not as busy, but doesn't have as much there for a full shop and you usually have to queue to pay as there's only one person on the till. Handy cash machine outside, easier than parking anywhere else in town to get cash or a quick scratch card and the staff are nice and polite, but not a lot else unfortunately - more of a convenience store than a supermarket.

Great supermarket. Great selection of all produce, plenty of choice and plenty of parking. Plenty of check outs too so you don't queue too long.

June 2019: The recent refurb has been a tremendous success. The shop is lighter, seems to have more space in it, the range of produce has increased, and the whole place feels much more modern and contemporary.

We love Ruthin Co-op, it is a small, friendly, clean, well run grocery. It sells good quality food and drink. Most importantly, there are no gimmicks or annoying bogoff deals. Simply a very good shop. 💗

Bit racist, got followed around the shop😂😂 no hot food the last 3 times I've been definitely not my favourite shop.

Ruthin's Coop is a medium sized supermarket built on land once used as Ruthin's agricultural market. Starting in 2019 work began on further development anecdotally reported to be worth £1 million. The supermarket enjoys ample parking and easy access, with a cash point, and a "photo-me" photo booth which is suitable for driver's licenses and UK passport photos. The supermarket includes ample choice of staples, a deli/bakery, well stocked beer/alcohols, and a delivery service.

I am sorry to have to give one star because I have always found the other members of staff at Ruthin Coop to be very friendly and helpful, but on shopping at about 4.45 on 28.12.21 two members of staff were filling shelves.
The one who I have always thought was a manager was complaining loudly about myself and maybe other shoppers. He was looking towards me and loudly questioning why people who could come in the morning or the afternoon waited until this time to do their food shopping (I presume he thought that as I am over 60 I am too old to need to shop at that time and that I should be at home wearing my slippers).
He said he just didn't get it .
As I tried to walk around his tall trolley whilst keeping my distance he glared at me ,A very unpleasant experience.
