Co-op Food - Canton

On the whole it's a great sizeable store. I've given 5 stars due to the service and help I always get from Catherine; she's so focused on customers. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the majority of the staff there; like today. I walked to the till and the member of staff serving seen me coming but walked from the till to place an item back on a shelf = I mean come on! Customer should be the priority, put stock back when there's no customer or get another member of staff to re-stock. Other staff members need to be customer focused like Catherine. The manager needs to be present on the floor too. I'm a regular in this store and never seen the manager.

I've always been a Coop customer and since Covid-19 it has become my preferred shop. There's always what I need to buy and the customers tend to be better at observing social distancing than in other stores. Staff are friendly. The only negative is the poor arrangements for hand sanitising.

I would actually rate the store both a 4 and a 1 if I could. I like the co op it's normally great quality and decent value for money. However I am isolating because I have Covid, so I have stuff delivered by deliveroo and the markup is extortionate. To be fair, I don't know how much of the markup is from the Co Op versus Deliveroo but it's horrible to be fleeced when you're sick, and the big supermarkets have no delivery slots available.

I had bad delivery experience that involved going to wrong address several times and rude drivers will never order again.
But on a good note customer service are fantastic and in store shop clean and helpful with good range of GF food.

Friendly staff well laid out store

Terrible on delivery apps, won't have half of basic products, either offer nonsensical replacements or send nothing at all. Not possible to cancel order either.

This Coop is nice and spacious, a decent selection of quality products and friendly staff. There is plenty of room for social distancing and there is also a grand assortment of vegan groceries available here.

I am giving this Co-op branch one star, the outside of the building is very shabby, bits of the signage are missing, it is dirty, paint peeling from the outside boarding, the inside is not a lot better, the car-park is often littered with rubbish and with charity bins overflowing. Not what you would want when visiting a local food store. I notice that in Pontcanna there are 2 new stores both clean, tidy and well stocked. The Co-op needs to update the Cowbridge Road branch pretty soon at the risk of losing customers.
