It was ok. Not a great range of stuff. Just a simple local convenience store, stocking the usual simple items but with the bonus of a delicatessen in the other section of the shop. Quite clean, staff seem to be friendly enough. Has a small selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.

I don't understand the bad reviews. Every time i stop in Fairbourne for a holiday i always come to this shop i have never had any problems. Maybe the disabled man with the dog was rude to the shop owners , disabled people think that everyone owes them something. There are two sides of the story....

Unfortunately due to the shocking manner in which the elderly man who works there (or owns it) treated us I cannot recommend anyone uses this store. We went in with our sons (4 and 6 years-old) on Friday 23rd July so they could get a bucket and spade only to have this person be vile to us for wearing the mandatory face-masks ("take that abomination off your faces" is how we were greeted whilst he angrily pointed at us). He continued by saying "I'm not serving you unless you take that face-mask off" as well as other sarcastic comments about how many people had touched his stock and that is was "full of virus". We decided to go elsewhere as he just wouldn't stop his aggressive vile tirade. It is such a shame this happened because even though this person clearly doesn't agree with the rules, he should allow everyone to follow them without such discourse and pressure (he was also shouting at others to take their masks off). I would put no stars if it was possible!
