Local supermarket, prices you'd expect. that is, more expensive than a Tesco for instance. Good selection of brands and goods. Regular offers. Contains a PayPoint for topping up your gas and electric keys. Post office counter inside Spar. Cash point just outside. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Just started using the post office, due to other post office closure further down St Fagans Road. Staff in shopping area are polite and friendly, however the same cannot be commented on about the post office staff. On my encounters with the staff they've been abrasive when I clearly requested a signed for posting by patronisingly stating that I may need a "recorded delivery", I had to
reiterate what I required nearly 6 times and explain I understand how to differentiate between the both as I have 30+ years experience. I also I had to consistently let her know that I understood; "the letter will not arrive the next day as I'm posting it after 5pm it'll be collected for delivery in the morning..." still she was so annoying during my transaction that I had to talk sternly and clarify exactly what I needed. She then became vexatious and said, "whatever" I then stated for the last 10 -15 mins I'd been consistently requesting exactly what I needed her to assist me with, and consideration has to be given to me as a disabled customer by not making me stand for so long, or aggravating me to respond in a negative manner, it was then that she became silent and carried out my transaction, I left giving a kind salutation, she also did the same.

Now last week Friday I sent a support worker from Cardiff Social Services to do a transaction but pay for the latter with 1st class stamps each worth £0.64p. Clear instructions were written and both cash and stamps were to be used. The price for this transaction totalled to £2.06p but rather than use 3 stamps (= £1.93p) and let my support worker pay the difference, 4 stamps were used and I was left without a stamp and at a financial disadvantage. With the increase of internet communication the price of posting government correspondence has also affected the cost/pricing when utilising postal services. Having a low income means every penny counts for me, I just hope this service will improve. 😞

Not bad stock. Plenty of screens and hand gel on entry during the pandemic.
