Very unfortunage to have chosen Aberporth for a short break, it is full of half-wits who are scared of air, Awful time in the Spa shop the owners are off their heads, very rude to those who are exempt from mask wearing, they should be sued for breaching the equalities act. As for the village itself, I saw many people/locals wearing masks outside absolutely incredible and a few wearing mask in their car alone outside the chemist, but back to the jump up jobsworths running the local shop, an absolute disgrace, they actually think they hold power over people and this attitude is clearly evident. The shop is run by half-wits, you have been warned. Shame that the locals spoil a wonderful part of the country.

This is a local food store in Aberporth the staff are very friendly and helpful it stocks most things from needles to hairdryers, well maybe not halrdryers but it does stock most things, plus the lottery and a good selection of frozen foods ten stars 🌟 would be better.

Good selection of essential items, but when I went today to pay for a bar of 60p chocolate with a debit card, the minimum purchase price was £7.50 and then when I gave him a £10 note he declined that too! Sort your shop out fella and be more open to 21st century.

An amazing local shop stocking essentials and a few luxuries, the bara brith they have is delicious. Mike and Lisa are fabulous and not only warm hearted and kind to locals, they welcome me back summer after summer. Aberporth is so lucky to have them and all the contribute to the community.

Great little shop, packet with all sorts and more. Friendly shopper keeper, with a good view of the world around us, near and far.

Great selection of food and drink, fresh and frozen. Sweets and crisps, papers and magazines. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. A great local shop for most items, I don't know what more I could possibly tell you except for you should try here before committing yourself to a long, needless drive out of the area.

Recently had a terrible experience here with the older lady working at the shop. She was extremely rude, hostile and discriminatory. She appears to have no respect or apathy for persons who are unable to wear a face covering. Ironically she was wearing her own face covering incorrectly at the time. Signage on the door states there is also no service from outside so those unable to wear a face covering will need to find a more friendly and accommodating shop, which I would recommend. The 3 foot mask wearing sign referred to in previous reviews is also aggressive and in line with the lady’s attitude. This sign was however not made clearly visible and was tucked away behind the post box and I hadn’t seen this before entering. I am sorry that you have to wear a face covering for 14 hours a day (as per your sign) but I can assure you that many people who can’t wear a face mask don’t do this out of choice and attitudes such as yours may be traumatising for such people. I found the experience quite upsetting and won’t be returning to the area. There are many more respectful and friendly local places to spend your money. I would also suggest it may be more appropriate to display your 3 foot sign more clearly at all times and if it doesn’t so already then state on it that mask exempt persons are not welcome, so people who cannot wear a mask can avoid putting themselves through such a stressful situation and shop elsewhere.
For your information please find below the current guidelines taken from the welsh government website (last updated 28/01/22):

Who does not have to wear face coverings?

There are some circumstances where people may not be able to wear a face covering. Please be mindful and respectful of such circumstances, noting that some people may be less able to wear face coverings and the reasons for this may not be visible to others.
