Can probably understand why there's never any stock out, all the staff are always chatting away at the tills. Went to the till today and rather than the woman on the till noticing I was there, it was another colleague who pointed me out. Rather than listening to what I was saying, she just carried on chatting... Wasn't even offered a bag to carry all my shopping in.

If staff have all this time to chat, they could either work for their pay or go home early? I don't understand why half of them are getting paid to stand around.

I don't expect a shop to be run like a prison camp where no one can chat to eachother but there's the time and place for it, not while serving customers and maybe pay some attention to people coming to the tills.

I wish another supermarket would open up close by.

OK, but gets busy. If you use self-scan, please don't take loads of items, and make sure you know how to use it...

After reading some truly hilarious 1 star reviews I was shaking in my boots walking into this coop, I was expecting something from a horror movie. Alas, this was not the case, it was the same very normal co-op experience that I have become used to.

My local supermarket and it's a godsend. I honestly can't praise the staff here enough. All of them are so friendly and welcoming and all so hardworking. The store is always spotlessly clean and they do their level best to keep the shelves stocked. This place has been a lifeline during the pandemic. Thank you hardworking women and men of Penygroes Coop!

In winter this shop is always unbearably hot especially with face masks on and staff dressed in t shirts when appropriate clothing would make it unnecessary for heating to be so high. Also not good for food in high temperatures. I never buy bread from here in winter as after its been sweating on the shelves all day it goes mouldy overnight. Some staff very bad mannered.

VERY expensive, very restricted lines great for saving 22 miles worth of fuel travelling to civilisation if you just want one or two things. A little annoying that their website has always stated they close at 11pm when they actually close at 10. In many ways the local Post Office does a better job.

Convenient village store. Polite friendly staff. Car parking outside the store and across the road. Although due to the current distribution problems some items are not always available the staff work hard to replenish the store and are always helpful.

Would give zero stars. This is more like an unconvienience store. You would think being the only supermarket in the area that they would actually have enough stock to keep the shelves full for more than a day. No bread on shelves except the stupidly expensive stuff no one wants to waste money on. No sugar half the shelves are always empty. If another store opened in the area coop would have no business.
