Many Thanks especially to our case handler Paul Stone for your exceptional service 💯👏🏻
I will be very surprised if our house move even happens at this stage. SAVE THE STRESS & AVOID AT ALL COSTS.. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OFFERS ON YOUR PROPERTY TO ANYONE USING THESE PEOPLE.
Even once the enquiries were resolved they lied to the estate agent and advised they were in a position to exchange when they hadn't even contacted our solicitors! It seems they won't do the work required to get to exchange, despite knowing that this will result in a no sale for their client. Can't get any updates, can't update the chain - they just don't respond or lie to the estate agent when they do - if the chain collapses basically everyone loses money due to the unprofessionalism of this firm. I'll be reporting them to the SRA.
The difference with Key Conveyancing was wonderful; I only had to email with a question and I'd receive a reply that day, sometimes within minutes. Having a direct phone number for the case handler is also a godsend, after the hours I used to spend on hold trying to get through to anyone at my previous firm.
Absolutely worth the money and the risk of instructing new conveyancers mid-process; they took things over and were incredibly efficient in moving us to a completion date.
We sent them a number of emails querying issues which they didn’t respond to. When I spoke to our case handler (the most senior person we were able to speak to) on the phone, she often sounded disinterested. We had a number of concerns about restrictive covenants to which we were told “they’re pretty standard...”. We wanted to organise a meeting with them to go through these covenants in detail and to understand how they would apply, we did not receive a response to this request.
They have ruined our first house purchasing experience completely. We have told the developer that we will not be able to proceed with Key Conveyancing as our solicitors and have since instructed a new solicitor to act on our behalf.
I wouldn’t recommend Key Conveyancing. After two weeks we realised that we couldn’t work with them, I honestly wish we’d never approached them.
If your developer recommends them, please stay well clear! They will only cause you weeks of pain, silence and confusion.
