Really well equipped cottage suitable for a large group with great views over the Esk Valley. Good location for climbing and walking. Would recommend.

Beautiful house in a stunning setting. Comfortable beds; we loved the cozy fireplace in the living room. Very attentive owner of the property with advice about local walks and pubs in the area. Our party included children who loved the board games and exploring the grounds and the stream near the house. Would definitely recommend for large parties of friends and families

This place was perfect for our family holiday. A large airy holiday house with all the trimmings. We enjoyed a bbq and the firepit but ran out of time before we could try the pizza oven. Felt like being a millionaire in this house with all mod cons. Game area was a hit with the kids as was the games console. I could easily live there. The only concern some of the ladies had was the water colour. As its from a stream and the water levels in the area were low the water was browny yellow. It's filter and safe to drink. I bathed, showered and drank the water happily enough as did a couple of others. I want to go back for at least two weeks next time. Excellent place overall.

As always, a great stay. It is a spectacular large property ideal for walking and general adventuring within the lakes for me and my friends (even with kids).

Have now visited several times and it never lets me and my family down. Table tennis, rattling streams, the caw of mystical woodland birds and a deer walked up the drive one night! Excellent location for strolls that leave the cheeks red and the soul warm.

Well equipped, plenty of space ,out doors was just as good as the indoors ,BBQ , pizza oven loads of out door seating. And for the young kids the WiFi was spot on. It felt like a home that some one lived in ,not a holiday let. It was perfect for a long weekend. Plus a stream in the garden.😁
