This location is one of the best locations we have visited as regular visitors to England, Scotland and Wales (over 15 holidays). The quality of the cottages are sublime. More than enough space, clean, great showers, internet, large screen TV, good couches, perfect bed (even pillows), dishwasher, etc.; it is all of the highest quality. But the best is our great view just looking through the window. Located on a hill, the silence and astonishing view are perhaps the most exiting part. The only negative aspect of the cottage is perhaps the regional location. Although a supermarket is quite nearby (15m), Cardiff and other locations are quickly an hour drive But the quality of the horse riding activity centre at Langorse is so good (riding with wild horses) that it makes this all a minor aspect. We will come back!

Absolutely heaven. No noise pollution only the birds.

Barley cottage is set in a stunning location a few miles west of the village llandovery. The cottage is beutiful will authentic wood finished counter tops, a large wood burner and no expense has been spared on the bathrooms or bedrooms. However unless you want to drop off the radar completely then I wouldn't recommend staying here. Especially with children. There is no phone reception on either O2, EE or 3UK or Vodaphone and I mean NONE so forget mobile data. The internet is very intermittent and is provided via a modem which is fine when the internet is working however should any problems arise with the service provider the actual BT router needs to be reset and there is no access to it as it's in a separate cottage and the owners are rarely there. It's really spoilt it for us not having any connection we are still at the cottage now but I'm ready for going home 4 days early if it wasn't for the main reason we're here is to celebrate my partners birthday. We even went to the trouble of bringing a monitor and playstation so we would have Netflix and Sky but sadly with no internet they were just stuck in the corner redundant leaving us in the dark ages. We cant check emails or do any basic tasks. There is no way to research were to go the next day. I've had to drive into the village to get 4G and plan trips before the rest of the family wake up. Thats where I am now sat in co-op carpark. It's such a shame, we planned this trip last year but with no way to make or receive phone calls, and with no internet? More research will be done next time.

We stayed at Wisteria Lodge through Airbnb. An excellent spot with a fantastic hostess. We were made so welcome despite arriving hours too early, cold and dripping wet. The lodge is warm and well equipped. Jackie's platters are superb!
