A really well thought out park and visitor centre. Plenty of children's activities including adventure playground, Skate board and scooter track, BMXcircuot and cycle tracks. Cafe and toilets on site carpark pay by card on exit £3 for two hours but we'll worth it.

We loved our day trip to Snibston Colliery Park. The kids in our group (ages 2, 3, 5 and 6) all had a fantastic time. The playground had a good variety of equipment all in good order and the pump track was challenging, but perfect for my 6 year old on his bike as well as the younger kids on balance bikes and scooters. It was fun to look at the old mining equipment and there is a little information on boards to read. We didn't venture too far along the walks, but they were we'll signposted and we had a great picnic with a view over the surrounding area.

To our surprise the cafe was open (was bank Holiday Monday) which allowed us to not only use the toilets (which were clean and well maintained), but we also enjoyed a coffee and cake which was above average and fairly typical price for a coffee shop.

All I all a very enjoyable day and we definitely would return if up that was again

Just stopped by for a a couple of hours while visiting friends. We only visited the main playground bit at the front but the kids enjoyed it and while it was good to see the land reused for a new purpose it's nice to see it still retains nods to the past.
Parking was pretty cheap and easy (lots of space and no messing with tickets as you pay on card at the barrier at the end).
There is a shop there to for some refreshments and if that's shut then the theatre next door opens it's cafe instead. Both have toilets you'll be glad to hear.

Popped here on the way back from a visit, not knowing what to expect. We were lucky enough to turn up on a day when they were running the tours, and it was the most interesting experience. Local miners talking about their experiences in the pits up until the 80s. For £2.50 it was well worth it. Cafe had lovely cakes, and the park is beautiful.

Went on the colliery tour today with a friend and was pleased with the tour which has changed seen a few years ago. We had 3 character actors which gave excellent accounts of life at the colliery. I do feel they could charge £5 per adult

Nice for a walk around the woods and lake. Lots of parking and there's a children's playground. After your walk you can pop into the Colliery cafe for a drink and snack, toilets are in the entrance to the cafe.

The most stunning park. Coffee shop is closed Monday Tuesday which is a real shame. Balance bike track for kids and little mountain bike trail too. Great place and stunning scenery.

Easy to park, with a great Cafe next door serving food and hot drinks. The park is really good for young kids, with nice routes surrounding for walks or bike rides. Ideal for a cheap family day out!
