Visiting Chester Crown Court (for the building and not as a defendant) is an interesting experience. The staff (including the G4S staff) seem clued-up and happy to help.

The building is a busy court but its facilities (like the canteen with precious-little food even at lunchtime) is typical of all Crown Courts these days but it's the building that's of interest.

The Castle is a mixture of old parts and new parts but, at its best, the building teases history but cannot deliver much more than an hour's intrigue.

Easy to access, security staff are friendly enough considering they deal with violent criminals on a daily basis! Well worth a visit once in your life to see the world-renowned British justice system in process.

I can only wonder if the one star review is a guilty verdict recipient?

Horrible dump. The G4S staff are vile. There is no drinks facitilty. The judges look down their noses at people that are actually the victims , You will not get justice here.
