One of my favorite places. It’s a one stop shop for all art, craft, sewing and baking needs

The team in this store are super friendly.

Social distancing is strictly maintained

The merchandising standards are of very high. I would highly recommend this store.

Parking is not an issue. This store is located near other retailers making life easy

Great staff who will help you with anything, they have a wide knowledge of many different types of crafts. The shop has a huge range of products and if they don't have it they are willing to try and get it for you. The shop has large Isles which means that anyone who is in a wheelchair can get around comfortably. The prices are reasonable compared with other craft shops.

We were on the last day of a great holiday (which we spent mainly in London and doing various activities) so we decided to have a wee nosey locally.

My closest Hobbycraft at home is many miles away so I rarely visit, but I love it.

This Hobbycraft is a gem of a place filled with enough items to spark even the least creative of minds.
To me it was like Aladdin’s cave.

There are rare to find items and quirky deals like “pick and mix” - a large choice of loose beads of every size and colour that works exactly like the sweets version - pick a tub - then fill it!

They have the shop organised well - devoting an area to each craft - and I found it easy to navigate.

From baking, knitting, papercraft, kids crafts, craft kits, painting, drawing, colouring, dressmaking, jewellery making, tie dyeing, gift wrapping, party supplies and every other craft known to man - they have a bit of everything.

They not only have craft items though, they do have every conceivable types of artists supplies.

I found a gorgeous range of card that was new to me and lovely cellophane bags.

Masses of choice of tags, ribbons and tissue paper were also a hit and everything is of a really high quality.

I believe the shop also do demonstrations, although none were happening during my visit - I did see evidence of it.

I’m disabled and have cognitive impairment - this affects my spacial awareness.
It also affects my eyesight, memory and reading skills.

My only criticism of the shop relates to this.
Luckily, the shop was empty when I visited as there isn’t much space to move around - they have so many items and narrow aisles.

This might affect other disabled customers, especially those in wheelchairs.

I also struggled at times to find prices on or around items which was frustrating.

I’m general though I think this is a fabulous shop well worth a visit to anyone interested in arts or craft.

I don't personally shop here, but, my partner does, however, I am always witness to them being very engaging and helpful towards her. Answering every question she may have and they simply can't do enough for her.

Further to the below review I left earlier this year. When I was in store recently, I was given a review us slip by the new Farnborough manager, I emailed the below review I left at the beginning of the year to him. The new manager has offered me a gift card for the value that was previous lost. A very kind gesture following on from the below and definitely a step in the right direction. Ultimately a money back refund at the time would of been the correct thing, but I believe we will see good things from the new, very nice, manager at Farnborough.

"On Christmas I received about £50 worth of material and sewing kit as a present from a very kind and caring person. This person in fact needed the money more for food. A kind gesture and we decided to return the goods and get the money back. To our surprise Hobby craft do not do refunds, and only offer instore credit to use whenever. She really needed the money so this is really in poor taste from Hobby craft. She asked for the credit on a card but Hobby craft only offered her a till slip which is further not good for the following reason. Being a simple till slip, a few months later when cleaning out her purse, mistook the slip for a receipt and it was thrown away. In the end someone who needed the money for food in these hard times was out of pocket, and Hobby craft had both the money and their items back."

Lovely people. Went in for a pile of stuff and the hugely helpful folk managed to find the bits and bobs I needed. A treasure trove of a place, with more stuff than my crafty house can hold.

This store is always so friendly and the staff are always happy to help! Since they're a smaller store they are lacking a bit of selection unlike their sister stores but still worth a look round

My first visit to Hobby Craft and although I couldn't find the pattern and wool I wanted, I did buy other patterns and wool. The staff were lovely and helpful and particular thanks to Shelley at the Farnborough shop for helping me.
