Im at that age where all my friends have settled down and I am always on my own. I do go to the gym but that's not enough, I want to try something different and challenging. I was looking for exotic pole dance near me and there's a few popped up. None of them near me but it's ok, im happy to do the driving. Pole Attack is the one that really stood out to me the most not just their fantastic google reviews, but also their instagram account, where i can see images and videos of what the workshop looks like and the fun atmosphere. I have never done any pole fitness before so i didnt know what to expect. Also i was abit worried that i might be the oldest one in the class haha ... but anyway, after doing all the research online, the exotic pole dance was fully booked so i ended up signing up to just the standard beginner pole fitness 8 weeks course. This week is my second class and i am having an absolute fab time with everyone. Theres about 10 of us in the class with different age groups. My instructor is Annette and she is amazing!!! Im sure the first day we were all nervous but Annette made us feel at ease. Theres so much fun and laughter in the class :) I wish I had found Pole Attack sooner!

I had my first experience at Pole Attack on Wednesday. Helen was thoroughly welcoming, kind, encouraging and has created such a warm and accepting atmosphere at Pole Attack. Her compassion and affinity for this exercise truly shines through and rubs off onto all of her lovely participants. I was completely at ease and felt suitably challenged to do better, and be more. Thank you Helen! ❤️

Amazing for kids and adults alike :)

So first up, thank you so much for the amazing areal hoop birthday you hosted for our daughter.

Our gaggle of 8-10 year olds spent an hour with the lovely Gita, learning basic skills and generally having the best time. They were all completely new to hoop, and couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved it afterwards.

Helen made organising the session so easy. I can’t recommend her friendly local business highly enough.

I should also throw in a recommendation for adults too whilst I’m here - I started started aerial sling back in December, and it’s my new favourite thing. I love the laughter, the music, the skills and the people. Annette, our instructor, is flippin fantastic. She puts up with my lack of coordination and grace superbly 😂

Like a previous reviewer I also had an eating disorder when I started at Pole Attack but aside from that my experience couldn’t have been more different. The world of pole and aerial is the least ‘cliquey’ and judgemental environment I have ever been a part of.

None of the instructors or students made me feel uncomfortable and Helen adjusted any moves I struggled with (I was just over 6 stone) to make them work for me.

Helen is an amazing person who has created a business that feels like family. It is the perfect place to go if you are struggling with confidence or low self-esteem and want to get fit and have loads of fun.

I am now strong, fit and my eating issues are under control. This is almost all due to Pole Attack and Helen Walker, she literally turned my life around. I cannot say enough positive about the company and the owners.

Everyone is treated with the same kindness and respect whether you attend every week or as a one-off. Definitely give it a try, you can’t know how special it is until you do.

My daughters and wife all attend Pole Attack, but I have been there to pickup the youngsters. Their studio space is lovely and well equipped. The atmosphere is always pleasant and supportive. Helen bends over backwards to help her clientele and make sure everyone is happy, as well as delivering top rate skills. It is a community feel. I would have no hesitation sending anyone to PA who was interested in such.

Such lovley people for teachers and a really supportive group of students too!

Honestly having pole fitness and exotic lessons have helped my mentality, made me feel better about myself more than I first realised and helped me come out of my shell as a person. I would recommend to anyone trying to look for something new to do and tick off their bucket list. Even to use as an activity for socialising and meeting such different wonderful people.

Even had a go at sling and the splits and would recommend also really cool learning new things!

A massive thankyou to Helen for creating such a fun space and to all the other instructors for such positive fun energy! I've been so happy since I've started about 1.5 years ❤️

I came across Pole Attack via Google search back in October 2021 looking for something different to treat myself to for a 30th birthday present. They were just about to start a new term so I was initially too late to get in, but Helen reached our to me after they had a cancellation and I managed to get into the Monday beginner/intermediate class (already going above and beyond!).

I was looking for something that would improve my strength and flexibility whilst giving me a unique and interesting hobby so I sound cool at parties (aren't we all). I was nervous and self-conscious before my first class, but Emma's mildly militant yet hilarious attitude combined with the girls-supporting-girls feel of the class soon had me bending myself into shapes I didn't think were possible. Emma always gives us adaptations if you think something is too difficult yet she also pushes us to try new things and cheers you on whilst you overcome that mental block.

I've now signed up on a rolling basis to be a regular in the Monday class for the foreseeable future and I always look forward to Monday evenings! Plus, the fact I can record myself in class and edit out the grunts means everyone now thinks I'm very cool on my Facebook. 10/10 recommend.

I just wanted to shoot you a message. I want to thank you for your amazing positive encouragement for these girls. My daughter loves it still and she has a lot of anxiety, sensory and other Neurodiversity issues. I’m 100 percent sure that if you weren’t as amazing as you are, she wouldn’t have kept coming. The routines really help her emotionally and physically as she has proprioception problems and needs the stimulus of constant moving, upside down and spinning. She can be agitated when I drop her off and every time I pick her up she has calmed down and happy.
It’s a big deal! You may not know how special your work is and how much it does for these children.

Thank you :)
