Base Dance Performing Arts Academy

My children have been attending Base Dance for nearly 10 years. It's friendly, well organised and inclusive.
The emphasis is on doing your best, not being the best.
All dancers are encouraged to allow them to achieve.
Whilst dancing is not the cheapest hobby, the confidence it gives my children and the friendships they make mean it's the best money I spend.

Friendly and professional dance school that my daughter has loved attending since she went one of their fantastic summer camps this year.

Having never been a dancer myself and playing sports such as rugby, I had not really appreciated dance as an activity. How wrong could I have been! There are such a wide range of physical and mental benefits to dance- in the short space of time she has attended, I have seen an improvement in co-ordination, flexibility, attention and confidence- and above all, she is happy and doing what she loves, in an environment that feels safe, promotes a team ethos and is supportive.

I cannot recommend BDPA and their staff highly enough. My only regret is that I did not let my daughter try it sooner!

Base Dance is just in another level! The teachers are lovely and it has a real family feel to it. They support and encourage children in their dance but don't pressure them! Our son loves his dance classes and is missing so much with everything that's going on... and right now they are even supporting the kids health and wellbeing by providing online classes which have been amazing! They have even added some lovely little extras for us big kids to join in on too. Much love for this place ❤

My daughter does cheer, street and contemporary classes at base dance. She loves them all, the teachers and staff are all so kind and welcoming. Even though she was new and was nervous to start she has been going for 2 months now and loves it so much.

My daughter did a trial of a ballet class here over a year ago and she's loved it ever since. So much so she's joined street dance and jazz and since lockdown with their online classes she's taken a shine to their Theatre class that's now included in the fee until they're back in proper class. There's a really fun, family vibe about Base Dance. We highly recommend trying them out!

Base Dance Theatre Academy is the top dance school in Ormskirk and Burscough. They're very welcoming, provide fun activities, teach at a high level, support the community and give every dancer the opportunity to become their best.

My daughter has been attending Base Dance for 7 years, starting with 1 lesson a week and now practically living there. She loves it so much. Her confidence has soared over the years.
Classes are varied and fantastic with teachers that really care about each individual student. She's made friends for life, as have I.
