Very clean, very well maintained. Great dance class, well equipped gym, peaceful ambience throughout. Wasn't as smoothly run as it could have been (lunch scheduled for 12, we weren't seated until 12:15 and still hasn't had our mains by 1pm which was a bit of a problem because I had a treatment booked at 1pm - they said I could serve it later but they forgot the dessert). I imagine that was mostly growing pains after having been shut to the public for 1 month.

Spent 4 days here. On the whole, it’s a reasonable place to stay. There are better and there are worse.
Plus side
Fitness staff great. Good classes. Good gym.
Food good. Reasonable choices.
Room was quiet. Nice grounds.
Not so plus
Older guy on reception could be more welcoming and less jobsworth
Flies in stairwells although did see someone hoovering once.
Constant waiting and queues to be seated in the restaurant. Every service time
Queues on checkout - one person checking out yet two guys standing around at reception
No real feel of being welcomed
Lift broken. Wet paint sign all the time I was there.
Building incredibly tired.

Shout out to all fitness and to Zena! Well done for great customer service

This is a great place to come for the day or join as a member for the gym.

There is a decent gym with two studios which have a variety of classes. The main attraction is definitely the two pools. A regular swimming pool with attached jacuzzi as well as a hydro pool which is great for relaxing.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and helped with any questions we had. The showers use Champney's products and there is also a decent range of products to purchase during the daytime.

I very rarely leave reviews but felt this hotel needed one! This is the sort of hotel that looks great when you first arrive - but turns out to be a real disappointment. The main area that needs improvement is the restaurant. Things to work on are: 1. Long queues to be seated (I saw other reviews saying the same thing). 2. The food is very (very) average or even canteen style with really small portions but at the same time very expensive. 3. There is no bar so no obvious place to sit down and have a chat over a drink before or after dinner. 4. At breakfast they charge you if you want a late rather than a standard filter coffee. Plus no cooked breakfast on the buffet. 5. You can feel the springs in the mattress ie. It's a really cheap mattress in what is billed to be a luxury hotel. 6. The whole place just looks a bit tired. In summary I guess you do have the spa facilities however there are much better hotels for the money. I won't be coming again.

Came here with my partner for a days relaxing, treatment and lunch.
For me it was my first time in a spa. We were checked in by a friendly member of staff, given our robe and slippers then went off to get changed.

The spa area is vast with plenty of beds to lay on, sauna and huge hot tub were great.

Lunch was lovely, really nice choice and friendly staff once again.

We had a treatment each which was excellent.

I’d love to come back, I didn’t want to leave.

Just back from a two day stay. There was good and bad. On the plus side our room had a lovely view and we manage to get some nice dinners. The treatments that I had were lovely and all the staff are nice and very helpful. The downside was the cheap mattress and the lunches which consisted of spiced food, not much selection and only a mousse or fruit for desert. Breakfast was the same, nothing cooked unless you paid extra. We had to ask for bread because we was hungry. I agree with other comments that the place is tired looking and in need of upgrading especially the showers. I also had a very stressful checkout due to them not itemising items correctly and had to call the manager. However, she did sort this out for me.

We just had an overnight stay at Springs, our first visit to the Champneys.
Our arrival was smooth and we got a great yet quick tour. Our room was lovely; well designed, with comfortable beds, controllable temperature and lovely comfortable seats to relax in.
I’m not a huge fan of the food; mainly vegan and gluten free, with few meat options and little luxury. I left meals still feeling hungry, due to lack of choice and small portions (I’m 5’6” and size 10, with a normal appetite!) - however most guests seemed happy with the food. Can’t please everyone, I guess.

But I’d like to thank each and every member of the team for their utterly genuine caring and service. They aren’t just well trained, literally every member of staff I met was a king and caring person. Oriel, on reception, took this to exceptional levels; she is possibly the loveliest person I have ever met.

Any niggles we had were patiently and effectively resolved, and we can’t wait to come back. The value for money we felt staying here was very good - the facilities are generally really nice, especially the many different spaces to relax, the retail area, and the beauty area.

Thanks especially to Oriel, Jason and Rob.

Nice relaxing place. Staff are really nice and friendly. We went for a couple of days for my wife's birthday. Food was nice but don't expect burgers and chips. There's no bar which I knew before going but you can buy wine with dinner. The place is generally well kept but in some places looking a bit tired and could do with a few upgrades. I would recommend it.
