The Dentists

I need to share my experiences with you. What a nice bunch of people. I see Mr Richard Bates for my work and I can't thank him him enough for how kind and thorough he is to me. I am a 9/10 on the anxious scale and he always makes me feel at ease. Along with ongoing problems with my teeth I suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia which is a severe nerve pain that effects my mouth and left hand side of my face. Richard takes his time to complete my dental work as I struggle opening my mouth for an amount of time. The longevity of his work and his detailed explanations as to what treatment he is giving me and possible future work helps me mentally and physically process my outlook. I want to say a BIG thank you to Mr Richard Bates and all the dental team and receptionist for always being understanding, polite and professional.

Me and my family have been with this practice for a very long time, in fact I followed Mr Hennessy from his Southport practice. I find all of the team are extremely professional and excel in delivering a high standard of care. Patient care from start to the end of treatment is second to none. The receptionist, nurses and dental assistants are helpful, friendly and very welcoming. The whole team go over and above for every patient. Thank you Mr Hennessy, Mr Walsh and all the team. Great bunch of people always happy to help and do their best. We have been with them for a few years and always smile on their face.
Recently had alot of problem with a wisdom tooth had to ring twice for emergency appointment and Richard was great and understanding of pain you go through and lady at reception (sorry cant remember her name) did her best to fit me in same day and was very helpful.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

After experiencing headaches for 6 months I talked to Richard during my last appointment. He was very very supportive and was mentioning a condition called TMJ. He took time to explain all about it which was very helpful. At my appointment today I was really nervous as a tooth had broken & my headaches still there radiating to my jaw and teeth. Again Richard took the time to discuss this with me. I was nervous and he was reassuring during the appointment doing a filling, clean and also fixed the broken tooth I had. He’s given me guidance about other potential issues and given me exercises to help the TMJ. I came out if the appointment feeling 100% better than before and would like to thank him for his care and excellent work. Also his assistant and the reception staff are superb and I would like to congratulate them on the excellent service they provide. Thank you.

The dentists are not interested in helping was left with a broken painful tooth after calling for a emergency appointment and then given no information when asking about the complaint procedure reception staff not understanding or sympathetic beware.

This dentist literally saved my life, helped me smile again and be able to eat. Made me comfortable after being anxious. Thank you so much Ian and team 😀

A broken tooth was met with the message that the dentist was "working from home"!!!! and an envelope with a rudimentary do-it-yourself kit - not professional care for a patient needing treatment. Previous work was 'tooth by tooth' without regard to the overall appearance or condition of other teeth. If this is the standard of practice within the NHS, no wonder patients go elsewhere for a dentist who is serious about continuous professional developments. Have been with the practice almost 40 years but I now go to a good dentist elsewhere, who works with full regard to Covid-19 precautions.

I have always experienced a professional and friendly service here over many years. Appointment times are kept to with minimal or no delays. I feel that all staff here have a genuine concern for their patients .
