I have used the dentist for the last 8 years. The lady dentist is the best dentist I have ever found. She is very thorough and the bonus for me is that she made me forget my fear of dentist. I would recommend her any time, especially if you have children who need to see a dentist. She is very kind and will put them at ease.

I've been going to this dentist for the past 20 years, from the age of 6. Dental care was free up until the age of 18 I believe. They have posters up and signs saying they are an NHS dentist. So I thought I was paying the NHS band prices. No, they have been secretly charging me private charge. Not once did they inform me that I was being treated as a private patient and that I was paying the private cost. I am not someone who can afford private dental care. Nor have any of the other people I've spoken to who have also been conned into paying private dental care. They trick you into signing a sheet of paper that agrees paying private, and when I say trick - they will talk to you when they give you the form to sign. They even have the cheek to add on further treatment onto the bill before you've even received the treatment. They do not explain to you what you are signing. All they do is ask you if you're paying when you enter the dentist, of course anyone working and not on benefits will answer yes.

Inside the clinic they have posters/NHS signs as if to imply they accept adult NHS patients. When we challenged them on this they informed us that they only accept NHS patients who are on benefits. They decided to explain that AFTER we have been forced to pay an extortionate price for an appointment.

What makes it worse is, they don't even ask you when they add on extras - such as xrays. They will take multiple x-rays, cleaning without asking for your permission or informing you of additional costs they are adding to your final bill. They will literally rush around to do as much as they can in a 10 minute slot to squeeze out as much of your money as possible.

Avoid this place at all costs and spread this word. Even if you are free on the NHS, they do not deserve any customers with their deception. When asked why no one informs you that you have been moved onto the private treatment following free treatment up until the age of 18, the receptionist shifted the blame onto the previous receptionist who worked there. How about the people who run the place? Should they not accept responsibility? We called them to try to resolve it before taking further action and they had nothing to say for themselves let alone offer any kind of refund.

I am only writing this review so others do not blindly fall into this trap.

Update: To Shahan Ahmed - Excuse me, who are you? And where did you get the information that I was seen by a female dentist. Stay in your damn lane. Your review is clearly an attempt at saving face.

This is post in response to Ayesha khatun, I can’t believe someone would write such a review about the female dentist , I have been visiting that dentist since I was a child and have never had any complaints. I have always received really good service from there and never had any problems. She always ensures I am fully aware of my treatment and the process and ensures I comfortable during the treatment. I think sometimes people forget how hard this job is and the amount of training and effort that goes in to actually achieve that position. Is is a serious job because any mishap could cause severe damage.

I have been going to this dentist for 15 years or so. I have always been petrified of dentists but the lady dentist made me very relaxed, talked me through my fears and moreover, didn’t hurt me at all. This is why I’ve always gone back to this dentist. My kids too went there. I have a disabled son and the dentist referred him very quickly to the hospital dentist as she didn’t feel she could treat him further. She was extremely kind and careful with my son. I wouldn’t change her for the world.
While I was not working, I never had to pay but now I am back to work, I have to pay some charges. Because I am part-time therefore lower income, I have an exemption certificate for most treatments but what people need to understand is that even with exemption, not all treatments are covered by the exemption and not all treatments are covered by NHS.
I have always been told in advance if and what I should pay for or if my treatment was free.
I always recommend this dentist because personally, I have always had good treatment, good service and I have always been treated well.

I got my teeth cleaned about 2 years ago (for the first time in my life) and I was very happy with the service I received. My teeth were significantly whiter which was great, but more importantly the care of the dental surgeon and his assistant was what I really appreciated.

The total was about £67 pounds at the time, and I think it was very worth it. Very excited to visit again.

I have many locals dentist around me but I come here which is atleast half hour with transport and it is worth it! Been going there since last 6 years and Doctor ATTAR is the best and the most professional doctor ever experienced. He has always done an amazing job and goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are getting the best. So many time I have gone in with toothpain and that pain is horrible out of this world but he always manages to sort it out and give extra. Thank you doctor for an amazing service as always.

the receptionists are lazy and condescending. they have a smug attitude and have weird attitude of thinking they are above you even though they are just receptionists in a dentist? the dentist himself messed up one of my fillings, my teeth are still in agony because it was done incorrectly. switching surgeries.
