Inside the clinic they have posters/NHS signs as if to imply they accept adult NHS patients. When we challenged them on this they informed us that they only accept NHS patients who are on benefits. They decided to explain that AFTER we have been forced to pay an extortionate price for an appointment.
What makes it worse is, they don't even ask you when they add on extras - such as xrays. They will take multiple x-rays, cleaning without asking for your permission or informing you of additional costs they are adding to your final bill. They will literally rush around to do as much as they can in a 10 minute slot to squeeze out as much of your money as possible.
Avoid this place at all costs and spread this word. Even if you are free on the NHS, they do not deserve any customers with their deception. When asked why no one informs you that you have been moved onto the private treatment following free treatment up until the age of 18, the receptionist shifted the blame onto the previous receptionist who worked there. How about the people who run the place? Should they not accept responsibility? We called them to try to resolve it before taking further action and they had nothing to say for themselves let alone offer any kind of refund.
I am only writing this review so others do not blindly fall into this trap.
Update: To Shahan Ahmed - Excuse me, who are you? And where did you get the information that I was seen by a female dentist. Stay in your damn lane. Your review is clearly an attempt at saving face.
While I was not working, I never had to pay but now I am back to work, I have to pay some charges. Because I am part-time therefore lower income, I have an exemption certificate for most treatments but what people need to understand is that even with exemption, not all treatments are covered by the exemption and not all treatments are covered by NHS.
I have always been told in advance if and what I should pay for or if my treatment was free.
I always recommend this dentist because personally, I have always had good treatment, good service and I have always been treated well.
The total was about £67 pounds at the time, and I think it was very worth it. Very excited to visit again.
