Oak Dental Care

I was going to be late for an appointment as I was stuck in traffic after leaving work so I tried calling them to ask would that be OK, it took three times of me calling and listening to an automated voice saying I was in a queue of one before they answered the phone... altogether spending over 10 minutes on the phone. After the second time of trying to get through to them I had a text saying you have missed your appointment and threatening to chuck me off their practise if I missed any more. When I eventually got through I took myself off their list myself. If they can't be bothered even answering the phone that is an 0844 number so costs an access charge and up to 7p a minute then I will go elsewhere. Maybe they leave you on the phone so they make more money from it.
I would have given it no stars but there wasn't the option.

Just to add I got charged £4.93 for the calls to this surgery, my advice, use a better surgery with a local number

Best dentist I've been to. Staff are highly trained and extremely professional. First time I've ever felt like I'm not part of a production line, they really are welcoming!

Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. I’m having root canal work done by Dan and I’m a nervous patient but have to say he’s been very reassuring and caring and I have no complaints.

Was told this practice had taken over patients from Paul Knight 182 Liverpool Road Maghull who had looked after my dental needs (as an NHS patient) since he set up the business in the 1980s. He has now retired and I understood Thomas Ip was the person to contact . It may be about two years since I last visited Paul but the receptionist I spoke with was extremely abrupt and unhelpful and said she was unable to help me as it was over three years since my last consultation. I am a 75 year old pensioner and find this extremely upsetting. Could not recommend this dental surgery
