Burneston Dental - Dentists in Guildford

I've been using the services of Burneston Dental for a number of years now, and I only have good things to say.

Firstly, my previous experience with other (NHS) dentists is that they want to get you in and out the chair as fast as possible, so they can move onto the next patient. The result of this is that appointment is so quick that I've felt that I've not had a proper check-up. On the other hand, the dentists at Burneston are very thorough. Any concerns I have about my teeth are properly investigated, addressed, and explained.

Secondly, I don't like my teeth being probed. To be frank, I'm verging on a phobia, however, on the few times I've had to have some work done I've been put at relative ease. I can't explain exactly why that is, but I think it may be a combination of their attentiveness, friendliness, and relaxed environment.

I have no hesitation recommending these guys to friends/family.

Burneston is a great dental practice - friendly, caring and very good at what they do. I had root canal treatment and felt well looked after during and after the procedure.Everything was explained clearly. I don't think I have had a better dentist than Christian Metzner!

I have used Burneston Dental now for a number of years and can only say that Dentists certainly do not hold the fear I once had in visiting them. A very slick and professional service by Dentists at the top of their game. I have recently been fitted with dentures and I do not realise I have them in, so good is the fit. Will always try and fit you in should an emergency arise. My Dentist of choice and it should be yours. Principal Dentist Dr Metzner a truly remarkable man.

I have been with Burneston Dental in their two incarnations (NHS then Private) since 1981. And a more valued service in the care of my dental health I cannot possibly find. Whatever the treatment, I found attention to my dental welfare paramount here. That includes looking after my personal needs and the reassuring friendliness I was given, in addition to the over-riding professional skills I always enjoyed. This refers to all members of staff, from the receptionist, through the attending nurse and, most importantly, to the dentist.

So I have no hesitation in recommending Burneston Dental to anybody who is looking for a reliable, happy, trouble-free and long-term dental care.

I know when some people go to the dentist they dread it. However I quite look forward to a visit to see Samantha, Sarah and Natalie at Burneston Dental, it's like seeing old friends! The practise is always welcoming and spotlessly clean. Always good advice (FLOSS!) and on the occasions when I have had to had a filling or a chip repaired the work has been done to a very high standard. The booking reminders via email are super helpful too.

I wish to highly recommend Dr Christian Metzner and the team at Burneston Dental. Dr Metzner is a highly experienced, professional and very gentle dentist who treated me following a traumatic MTB accident which resulted in damage to my front tooth. I am a nervous patient and I was handled with care and gentleness at every appointment. Dr Metzner was meticulous in ensuring that my new ceramic crown is as close a match to my existing front tooth as possible. Burneston Dental's patient services, including front office, dental nurses and oral hygienist was excellent. My whole family now goes there for all our dental requirements.

My last visit to the dental hygienist was different. The 'ice pick of doom' was put to one side in favour of a high speed air and water treatment; more like going down a water slide than falling into a pile of thistles! Afterwards, my mouth felt clean and fresh and didn't look like it had just gone 10 rounds with Tyson Fury. The new method costs a fraction more, but you won't regret it!
