I don’t usually leave reviews but I feel the time has come. I have been on a course of treatment and my appointment got cancelled as my dentist had left. I Was told to call back after 6 weeks (which I have) to continue my treatment - now I have called again today and informed that they won’t continue my treatment unless I pay and go private. This is not an option. In addition I needed an emergency appointment 2 weeks ago, for a crown that has fallen out, broke my tooth and causing major pain. Because I didn’t get seen it resulted in an infection ane had to have antibiotics, again I would only be seen on an emergency appointment same day if I paid £75 to be seen. What about the clients you have that can’t afford the £75 to be seen? Or afford the treatment. You’re leaving people with no options but to suffer in pain. After calling 111 they were shocked and disgusted that they have appointments being an NHS Surgery and charging people to be seen.

Additionally when the practice is closed there is no pre recorded message as to who to contact in an emergency - which other dentists in the my dentist group do. I know because I resulted in ringing the langport number.

The staff are condescending and rude when u eventually get through on the phone and constantly interrupt and over you. Even when you ask them not to.

I have requested a callback from the practice manager… let’s see if Amy puts that request through or If I get a callback

It seems to me that this practice are only interesting in money and how much more money they can earn. When speaking to Amy today she disregarded my pain and treatment needs and informed me that 4 members of staff want to leave ane that I should donate my local MP. This is a sinking ship practice and ONLY interested in profits and how much money they can pay extract from clients. The care aspect has gone from this practice. I know this because Amy today compared dentistry to any other job where people want to earn more money and that’s what the dentists want. Shocking admission.

I can’t even get my 13 year old daughter an appointment.

Truly shocking and this practice should be ashamed.

We moved to Somerset a year ago from Norfolk leaving behind our nhs dentist, which incidentally was also a My dentist practice.

It had taken several months to find an NHS dentist and we thought we was really lucky to have found My dentist in Yeovil that would except our 3 children despite living 45mins away.

We booked our 3 children in after a few months wait for their first check up. Two of our children were referred to the orthodontist for braces. Again after a few months wait we went last week to the appointment at the orthodontist who confirmed both require braces and have booked them onto a waiting list and have advised they should be seen in roughly 18 months time, however as both still have baby teeth and adult teeth that the baby teeth would need to be extracted first ASAP but within the next 18 months and to return back to My Dentist Yeovil to have this done.

One of my daughters is petrified of needles and this was discussed at their check up and that she maybe required to be referred to the hospital for her to be put to sleep in order to remove the teeth.

Now when my wife called to discuss this with the dentist she was informed that the NHS dentist had left the practice and the support and advice provided was non existent and no care or empathy provided, she was also told that no notes had even been applied to my daughters record. We are now left not knowing how to proceed with supporting our daughters, unfortunately going private is not an option. We also called 111 to seek advice and was told to campaign our local MP which we will do.

Can't give them higher rating.
Booked appointment as private just to have a message two day's before appointment saying it has been cancelled. Couldn't even get a refund to go somewhere else

I attended the Hygienist in July.
The service was excellent, my results incredible and completed before I knew it.
No need for whitening and yet my teeth look so bright after the treatment.
I will definitely be returning and highly recommend!!

Many thanks!

I'm really uncomfortable with the dentist but went to the hygienist for the first time in my life, she was a straight talking lady but completely transformed my teeth after a deep clean. I really wish I'd gone sooner, I haven't been so comfortable about the look of my teeth in many years.

We have been NHS patients at this practice for years. It has steadily declined. Today my husband telephoned for an appointment as his tooth broke whilst eating. He was told he would have to go private…. Pay £75 just to be seen then additional fees for whatever treatment would be needed.
We will never return to this practice. They didn’t even have the courtesy to inform us that they were a private practice when they made this change.Poorly done indeed.

I'm gutted like many others are ,been with my dentist for many years and my two kids are going through the process of braces but need a couple extractions, rang my dentist to make this appointment to then tell me if have to pay , shocked as there was no email no letter no nothing to inform me the practice is under privet not NHS anymore . My time completely wasted waiting to hear from them . A single mum can not afford these prices for my kids to get treated and yet there both under 16 and probably going to miss out on nice smile due to la know communication and compation.

Rubbish. Been trying to get a nhs appointment since "covid"

Looks like I'm no longer a nhs patient without notice.
No care for patients....

Edit to your reply.
As you can see by the above I've been trying to get in for a check up for 2 years.
So yea I'm not dead yet
