Urgent Care Dental Service

My experience here was fantastic, from my initial contact with them on the phone, the Reception and through to the Dentist. I was under the impression though that I had an actual appointment but it is actually a sit and wait service but I was waiting for only 10 mins which was far quicker than at my normal Dental Practice, so just bear that in mind as you may have a longer wait if its busy. The Dentist I saw knew what he was doing and filled me with confidence and most importantly explained my options etc. I had a very positive experience. I had to visit here due to the appalling treatment from an NHS practice in Sidmouth.

Called 111 after failing to connect with the Plymouth Out of Hours service which apparently had been down all day . I live in Plymouth.

Had acute pain and thought it was tooth as I had bitten on Granary bread with ensuing bad reaction 5 days before. Despite taking Ibruprofen pain was getting worse up right hand side of face . Had tried local dentist for early appointment the week before but only slot they could do was 7 days later . Despite X-Ray taken at Heavitree on a Sunday nothing conclusive e.g Hairline crack causing infection was seen.

It was decided NOT to do anything until seen dentist in a couple of days. Really professional dentist and assistant at Heavitree said could be an internal crack but rather than risk digging out or removing tooth best to wait as nothing showed on X Ray.

Importantly :

Also 7 days before had been canoeing and had a spill and took in seawater up nose - I can only now conclude that this was actually a severe sinusitis infection that also caused me to think (Ass U Me ) it was the Tooth problem. The service provided at Heavitree I cannot praise highly enough and thoroughly recommend .

I had a very positive experience in this centre, the waiting time was about 15 min, which was perfectly normal knowing that is for waiting service, the lady in reception was lovely and warm welcoming. The dentist was fantastic. As gentle as possible, explained me what is happening with every procedure. Happy to come back next time.

Had a tooth out today after suffering for days.
I was very anxious and emotional, the dentist and nurse were amazing, they kept asking if I was alright and i thought they were very kind and understanding.
The team are doing such a great job during these crazy times.
I told them I'd be clapping for them all tonight at 8pm

I have been waiting on the phone to get an appointment 1 hour. I haven't got dental practice. I am calling because it is the first time I have an urgency. I have got a broken tooth, half tooth and I can't eat. But also I know to be very careful with any infection. Please anyone knows any dentist where I can get an appointment?

I've tried for the past week now I've got an infected wisdom tooth and it's so pain full but they just don't answer I'm not happy and tbh I have no dentist so these people need to pull there arses in gear and answer the phones

My daughter was in agony on Saturday night, they got her in Sunday morning. The staff were absolutely amazing and constantly reassuring her and asking if she was ok. The three ladies that were there on the 19/12/2021 I would like to say a huge thank you, you are all amazing

Absolutely useless, not even worth ringing them as they will just cut the phone off to you. I've been in agony with my dental pain for weeks now, the time I got through to them they told they would get someone to call and no one ever did. Absolute shambles
