Mydentist, Glan Irforn, Builth Wells

I have attended a couple of times for myself and my son's. Had a great experience with Oliver on the last visit for an emergency appointment but with my son's dentist James a less positive experience which I have spoken to the Powys CHC about as I feel that his manner was very abrupt and impatient. The nursing team however are lovely and very pleasant.

I thought it was great news when I heard an NHS dentist was opening in Builth after so long not having a dentist accessible to me. Unfortunately after attending twice I wouldn’t return as the dentist I saw James Crossland was extremely rude, impatient and made me feel like a hinderance. The whole experiance made me feel very uncomfortable. Perhaps when the dentists improve I will return. But in my view some training on patient care is urgently needed.

Visited thus dentist as an emergency placement was seen so quickly and problem remedied in minutes.great welcome and staff were amazing.travelled over an hour to get to glam irforn well worth the trip

I have been with this practice since it opened and quite frankly, I have not had a good experience yet!

Every treatment I have so far had, has gone wrong…
I’ve had white fillings, where the purple fluid went down my throat, a temporary filling which fell out, numerous unnecessary X-Rays, a dentist who admitted to me that she was not very good (and she was right, she wasn’t), consequently, my root canal treatment she did, didn’t work and I am still in pain!
I went this morning to have a filling and eventually walked out, due to bad communication on their part, and simply lack of confidence in them!
Every time I’ve been, the dentist is late but doesn’t even speak to me or keep me informed that I’ll have to wait, today it happened again!
The lack of communication is appalling. I complained to the health board once before but decided to drop my complaint and give them another chance. But today was the last straw and I walked out, after telling them how unprofessional they are.
My advice? Don’t bother going there!!

Went to Builth dentist today for emergency treatment for a filling that had come out, my dentist and nurse was lovely the treatment was quick and pain free, the dentist also examined around the area to make sure that it was the problem, staff were polite and helpful and made it a pleasant trip to the dentist.
