Rarely leave reviews, but I'm so tired of the poor service, it warrants it.
To start with, last year I were called a liar by my dentist for not attending a hospital appointment. I hadn't recieved any notification of this appointment at the time. A week later, I recieved a letter telling me it was in 2022! She knew I didn't like dentists (which never bothered me until i came to this practice 12 years ago) so she accused me of avoiding the appointment on purpose, after I'd been begging for the appointment for the last 3 years. Recently I had an appointment cancelled without given a reason, and told my treatment plan was closed because I cancelled an appointment in May (when I had covid) and didn't rebook the appointment within a month. I did for the appointment they just cancelled. There was no other appointments available. They're basically telling me 2 things. They 1. Don't want to take responsibility, and 2. They want me to be psychic and predict when I'm going to be ill, so I can book my next appointment months in advance. They then told me they could squeeze me in today. I arrived at the practice, and was told my next appointment is NEXT YEAR!!! No emergency appointments available. I have a broken tooth, a painful wisdom tooth, and toothache on both sides. I guess I'm supposed to just live with that for a year then? I'll be looking for a new dentist.

Had a great experience. I had composite bonding done to build up my tooth in order to straighten my smile it’s something I have been very self conscious about for a while now. The staff were lovely and polite and my dentist made me feel at ease and did a fantastic job. My finished look is natural and makes me feel more confident.

This practice doesn't even warrant a one star. Zero stars from start to finish. Just a backstory, i have been registered at this dentists for almost 6 years now, and have had multiple bad experiences. Just last week i had a severe tooth pain from a chipped tooth and needed it removed. So i booked an emergency appointment. I knew this tooth couldn't be saved and had to go, as did the dentist Dr Finn. He told me it needed removing BUT here is the fun part; they don't do removals. What? An extraction is the most common, most practiced treatment a dentist can do and they told me he will refer me instead to another dentists; 'Synergy' who will be able to do it. This makes no sense to me, what do 'Synergy' have that these dentist don't? Bottom line, Finn referred me to a more qualified dentist 'Synergy' to have a simple extraction and said it could take months for the referral to go through, meanwhile i can take painkillers! Bottom line, Smart dental are not qualified to undertake simple dental procedures. If they have to refer everyone to get proper care then why do they operate at all?? Scammers and absolute liars. I will be taking this further to get a refund.

Absolute awful dentist, I walked in and it was 5 minutes past the appointment, It says there clearly 7 minutes passed means cancelled appointment the woman on the counter took her sweet time and as soon as it got to 7 minutes passed she said oh they have cancelled your appointment. Therafter I told them please could you ask the dentist to maybe let me in still? She did and they let me in... So firstly I avoided an entire re-schedule because of the woman not even trying firstly. Then I went in they checked my teeth within 3 minutes and did not even clean the surface plaque at all and said just floss which I do but it bleeds so dont do it as often. Then rudely said I wont do it you have to floss. So I came out of work for this for a £25 3 minute appointment which was absolutely the most wasted time of my life and money. I cant believe this I will be putting in a complaint of my experience. Its just totally unfair!

Since covid. It was all down hill from doctors appointments. Well I say doctors. Always was a nightmare before covid. Lol. But it took Me so long to try and get my kids an appointment at there local dentist. After all the aftermath and the world going nuts. Took a year or more after to get them appointments. Not there fault or ourselves. Our dentists lady had left bye then. But the gentleman and lady that have seen us recently are absolutely wonderful. Don't no there names. But there brilliant.

Absolutely ridiculous!!! As patients we are told to give 48hr notice for cancellation of appointment yet the dentists themselves cancel my sons appointment 45mims before his appointment at 5pm!!! Dentist is ill I was told when I called them to find out why the last minute change…they were aware of it this morning yet I received a message at 4:15pm!! They could’ve notified me in the morning but apparently “it was an oversight on their end” I’m told. It’s just not good enough!! I regularly receive notifications of them cancelling my appointments but this time with such short notice it was just taking the biscuit!!

I have felt the need to leave this review. I was at this dentist for a while (not having problems so general check ups) however when covid hit my appointment was cancelled by the dentist as they closed whivh was fair enough I then was rang to re book another appointment for 6 months later I agreed on the week of the appointment I had covid I rang with days to the appointment to let them know I had to cancel once I was better I tried to re book an appointment and was told I was taken off the nhs books as I missed 2 appointment. I explained I didn’t the surgery cancelled 1 due to covid and then I cancelled with days to the appointment due to having covid when it was required to isolate so I would been breaking the law to go to the appointment besides the fact I was I’ll. I was advised I could go on as private I was appalled seems like they just want less nhs and more private so acted like I didn’t call to cancel and said I just didn’t show up. I was told to email the manager to explain and hopefully can be rectified as the lady on phone was lovely and knew I had called to cancel. I sent emails which I was ignored I have called a few times and again was told they would call me which I didn’t receive just appalling service
