The Wessex Dental Specialist Centre

Great experience. I was treated for root canal therapy the day after my initial consultation. Somayeh and her team were excellent. Everything about my experience at the Wessex cried professionalism, from the clean and spacious dental rooms, to the welcoming reception and waiting area.
As a normally nervous patient, I can say I felt incredibly relaxed and at ease throughout my procedure. Assisting my treatment was a trainee dental nurse under supervision, which offered an insight into the great level of communication between all members of the treatment team. It felt like everyone was working together to ensure everyone was safe whilst ensuring the best possible outcome for me.

Amazing, kind and sweet staff. I’m a very anxious person and they made me feel so welcomed there. The whole process was talked through. Richard Ramsey is amazing and if you have him to take your wisdom teeth out… you’re in good hands. The reception staff are so lovely too, I wish I got their names… but they were lovely and so sweet to me x

Went to them for specialist treaent for a dental implant, they were fantastic from the start, really friendly and supportive with excellent follow up care. My most recent visit a very rude and entitled man was demanding to see his dentist without an appointment and the receptionist was truly incredible she provided him with the same extremely high level of service and went above and beyond for someone who was being incredulously rude to her for no good reason. The whole team at the practise are fantastic and I am now scheduling an appointment for further work with them. Could not recommend them highly enough!

Having been referred here from my own dentist for tooth extraction, I loved the look and feel of the clinic. The staff were really helpful and kind. My dentist Tom and his dental nurse were very knowledgeable and put me at ease as a nervous patient. They gave me lots of advice post-procedure and really cared about wellness and advised on the next steps forward. The wait time was long from the point of booking. However, I managed to get a cancellation and came in at short notice. Great clinic and would recommended.

Richard Ramsey was so lovely and personable, he explained every step of my wisdom tooth removal clearly and welcomed any questions. I'm usually very anxious about anything medical but that anxiety dispelled as soon as I started talking to Dr Ramsey. Something else I really appreciated was how both he and the dental nurse Ally (who was also lovely) let me known what was about to happen before they did anything, which put me at complete ease. I can't recommend Richard & Ally enough but especially to anyone with anxiety around dental/ medical appointments, I think they would really turn your experience around.

I’ve been lucky to see Dr Thomas at Wessex several times - he is a genius. Where other dentists offered me a crown, Michael provided me with a conservative solution that stood a test of time. And saved money.
The rest of the practice is lovely too. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

I was referred to the Wessex dentist to have my tooth taken out. I found all the staff so pleasant and helpful. I was quite anxious, but the nurses made me feel comfortable and more relaxed. It's very bright, clean, and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service from The Wessex and Bernadette Shipley. I was referred here from my own dentist, for root canal fillings. Bernadette is amazing. I am quite an anxious patient but she explained everything, put me at my ease and did a skilful job. Dentists and assistant staff work together in a friendly atmosphere with a high level of professionalism. There is an effective use of technology and the premises are bright and welcoming.
