Chelmer Village Dental Practice

Recently transferred to this dentist and I'm so glad we did. The female dentist and the assistent who saw myself and my son was amazing today! She engaged really well with him ran him through every step before doing it made him completely relaxed and involved in what was going on. He had to had a filling but you wouldn't know as the staff were amazing! Thank you so much

Let me explain why I came to this dentist. I usually go to a different dentist and it’s one I’ve been going to for years which is near where I live. I broke some of my teeth in the rear and I went and got a filling at my usual dentist. However within 1 week the filling had come off and a small gap between the tooth and my gum started to appear. My usual dentist at another surgery is not very good as she doesn’t explain things well and doesn’t keep me at ease. I am one of the people who has phobias of dentists, and she doesn’t really help that ether.

Once looking around for another dentist I came across Chelmer village dental surgery and I made an appointment. They said they would see me the next day which surprised me how quick they were because my previous dentist took 3 months to book me in and I got cancelled on 3 times before I could see her. So calling Chelmer villiage dental on the Monday and being booked for the Tuesday next day was amazing.

I came in and the receptionist was very nice and and I had to fill in a few electronic forms on a tablet and the dentist Joe was ready to see me in no time. I explained to Joe how I have a phobia of coming to the dentist and he put me at ease throughout the whole process. He spoke to me about everything he was doing and kept me informed throughout. He also let me take a breather after each part of the procedure to when get my filling. I can’t fault this place, my experience here was wonderful

Also credit to Debbie who was the dental hygienist I believe. Joe and Debbie were very nice and I would really recommend seeing Joe if you are a very nervous person who doesn’t like coming to the dentist as I promise you, you will leave feeling like you want to come back.

Although I cannot claim to enjoy going to the dentist, I am looked after at this practice by Dr Mark Glennie and seeing him is the closest it's going to get! Mark is thoroughly competent and a very good communicator, even though I would consider myself a moderately challenging patient when less comfortable treatments are underway. I would recommend Chelmer Village Dental Practice, as I have only ever felt accommodated there.

I was recommended to Chelmer Village Dental Practice a few years ago by a dental hygienist friend of mine. I can honestly say it's a great practice, I have personally seen two different dentists - both have been wonderful, but I am an easy patient.
My 10-year-old son, On the other hand, is not quite so laid back. After chipping his front adult tooth in 2019 he had gone from loving a check-up followed by a sticker to panic-stricken each time the word ‘dentist’ was mentioned. Every member of staff has been wonderful with him, slowly building up his confidence again with each appointment!
The team is full of knowledge and experience dealing with nervous patients of all ages.

Have used Chelmer Village Dental Services for many years and have been extremly pleased with the service. It has never been an issue to get an appointment. Friendly polite staff at both reception and during treatment, thay have always called me when routine check ups are needed. First class professional service

My dentist Mark has always been honest about the condition of my teeth.

I had a severe tooth ache on Sunday so phoned for an emergency appointment on the Monday. The tooth unfortunately needed removal but needed to rebook. Due to my wife being due to give birth the team managed to get me in at short notice and kept me updated on any cancellations in an effort to help. I had the tooth removed today and was talked though everything that was being done, it was painless and quick and I want to thank the whole team for there professionalism. The service and communication was excellent and particularly want to thank Lisa on reception for the help and service I received. I highly recommend this practise and it was a very positive experience!
