We were extremely pleased with the care and customer service we received. The reception staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and so helpful. We got appointments within a couple of weeks and the process of registering was so smooth. The dentist was brilliant and really clear. Brilliant service all round!

During Covid my dentist of 8 years, was not offering a cleaning treatment I had been having for years.
So after much, consideration I moved to Bupa dentist as a Private patient.

My experience with the dentist was fine, short and sweet.
However that was not my experience with the hygienist, Gill.
Whilst I realise I had not been to see a dentist during Covid, I had explained this and was aware my teeth needed some attention.
I felt, so uncomfortable with the way I was treated, like I was ' a naughty girl '
Under recommendation I went back again within a 2 week period as recommended but felt the same again.
As a fellow professional in the health care profession, it is my experience that every one should be made to feel cared for, comfortable and made to feel understood.
I will not be returning and have already found another practice.

Always put at ease here, each appointment is getting easier, as a nervous patient trust is important and I am very happy with the care I receive. Regular check up and a hygienist appointment, given advice on how to take care of my teeth and gums from both.( never too old to need a reminder) Always treated well, with respect, and everyone is friendly. Continuity is important to me too and I always see Dr Janet Potter and Gill the hygienist.
My teeth feel amazing after seeing Gill ,she is a very thorough and experienced hygienist and I value her advice and care. I will never like going to the dentist, however I don’t dread it anymore as I trust these people.

Very good dental service. Pain management is excellent, I haven't really had any and I have had several fillings. Philip is always encouraging, supportive and realistic re treatment options. I've been a registered there for several years and no longer feel any real anxiety about attending an appointment. Previously I did not register with a dentist for some years as I had a dental phobia.

I would rather pull my own teeth than visit this practice again. Visited with pain in teeth on right hand side, paid for them to fix the problem and after not being able to find anything they varnished my teeth and said it was sensitivity, two more trips with the same problem in two months, getting worse, and two more bills for not fixing the problem. Eventually a night in hospital on morphine as my wisdom tooth had a big hole in it that was infected and needed extraction... the Bupa dentist did not pick this up after three visits and x-rays each time!?
The equipment they use is out dated as is their practice of charging customers for work that does not fix the problem you visit them for.

The staff, reception and dentists are so friendly!
Philip and Gill are great and give you plenty of advice and support to take care of your teeth. They help you feel comfortable, which eases the anxiety of being under all those tools! 😬

I had had had 3 episodes of very bad toothache in the last 3 months relating to a crown that had snapped off down to the gum also taking the filling and remaining tooth next to it with it. I had been fobbed off and told to "see how it goes" by my original NHS dentist. On the third occasion I had had to get an emergency weekend appointment with Janet Potter who had initially prescribed me antibiotics. In the appointment I was very upset as I had been in pain virtually non-stop to varying degrees for 3 months by this point, and Janet was really kind with me and told me about the BUPA Chester practice where she usually worked. With the antibiotics not making any difference to the pain after 5 days I was forced to call the emergency dental line again, and was given another emergency appointment at a different practice. At this appointment I was told that they could either refer me for a dual extraction in the Countess of Chester Hospital which would likely mean a long wait as they had no one who could perform the complicated extraction themselves. The next day I couldn't take the growing pain any longer and rang BUPA Dental Chester and was able to get a same day cancellation appointment with Janet. I cannot praise her enough. She was very kind and professional and reassured me that I did not need to wait on a waiting list for a referral as she had the experience to get both teeth out that day, which she managed to do pain free and very quickly. The dental nurse was also lovely and offered me her hand to grip at one point as I was very anxious and in a lot of pain as the local anaesthetic went in before the procedure. Her advice afterwards on self-care was also brilliant! Thank you Janet and your dental nurse (apologies for not getting your name!)

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dental surgery and have been very pleased with my experience. Philip Price is an excellent dentist.
